  1. i think with a few more renewals and addition depth, i think more fans will feel the same way as me or at least that notts can finish in the top 3. i just have a feeling that this group of players will want to go up as champions now that they have tasted promotion via the playoffs. at the very least we need to be in the playoffs but again i wont mind if this does not happen.
  2. if we dont loan him out, we need him to be the replacement for sam slocombe, give him faith and he will improve. i really hope he can become our future number one.
  3. promising keeper who deserves more chance in our first team.
  4. he would need to accept a fair amount of wages for what role he would play, i think we have moved past signings like this personally but i am not completely against it. it would be nice for him to finish his career at notts, but do we really need him?
  5. he should do well with alfreton they could do with some experience if they are to push for promotion.
  6. it would be nice to think that ed francis has found somewhere he enjoys playing football and that appreciates him, unfortunately we out grew him but he could have been a bigger player for us. i think he lost that spark when michael doyle and ian burchnall left. good luck to him!
  7. 70% of the goals notts conceded last season should be cut out by more focus and awareness to the threat. most teams could not match our class, if they had i would be a bit more inclined to think it needed a rethink. instead i feel we need to do more defensive drills in trying and make sure a certain number of players are are defending, even if it means throwing their bodies in the way of the ball. just need to be mindful of hand balls and fouls leading to pens, i think we should be far better defensively next season.
  8. who? whilst its sad and interesting to know, i don't know why someone from the uk is pretending to care about a club they probably had not heard of before. the things some people do for viral tweets.
  9. i had work all week, saturday my cousin got married and my family all got together. i managed to survive being collared by my uncle to try different types of whiskeys, sunday was another family. it was great to see everyone, but it was very long and tiring.
  10. good goal, it would have been unlucky if they had not scored too. former spurs player getting the goal.
  11. i wont be buying a paper from them, i occasionally did but i think it shows their lack of focus on us.
  12. tell mrs fan of big tone that i send my love and i know she will make a good recovery from this, i hope you both continue to have high spirts. i am sending my well wishes to you both @Fan of Big Tone.
  13. @Fan of Big Tone its a bit to much, its great to see everyone but once a few hours roll by. i start to wish i could go home, dont get me wrong its been a nice day but its hard work celebrating all day. one of my uncles had been trying to get me to try various whiskeys with him, he lives in scotland and he was pretty drunk early on.
  14. well if he stayed, we would have the best midfield in the league and probably the strongest attack.
  15. well he denied knowing from a much younger age, having a photo taken at that point and coming out with a prince andrew type comment about not remembering him, despite letter exchanges and future establishing contact when he was what, 13? to say, no its officially 15. you cant move the goalposts.
  16. brilliant read @Fan of Big Tone and @Chris, i am glad you got to watch tony, i also appreciate reading about your background and why we know your username as what it is.
  17. i think there are many good resources online for exiles but from a community aspect, there is none better than pon. i think being informative to exile fans is the key and i believe this is the reason why we have quite a few, even if not all of them are active i am sure more read the site because our content is spot on. giving them a hub area to discuss with fans, who appreciate that they cant make games is a bonus. there is a real togetherness which helps.
  18. weirdly, i went to see notts play chesterfield in league one. i liked their ground, i have been to another away game, i think it was solihull moors buy i am being forgetful. not sure how you can forget where you went but i have. the best is by far wembley but i assume it does not count, so then it would be chesterfields ground.
  19. i have not had a bad experience so far, but i want to do 15 of the away games this season, which i am sure one or two will be a little poor in terms of travel. i am prepared and will accept it when it does happen, its out of my hands.
  20. targeting schools works, as i am an example of that. i have paid in multiple times than the single free ticket i took as a youngster. i know people moan about notts giving free tickets to schools, but i am convinced its more effective than football groups. i dont see why the club stopped doing it. restoring the youngpies back to full health would help, rather than its current half arsed state. family fun days is another great idea which notts tends to do, sending the players into schools, being proactive in local communities and areas where notts fans live. to be fair, i think the football on the pitch has helped bring more younger fans, i would not say we are the same club people branded as most older fans. i think its more mixed. i cant say this for sure about the pavis, but the family and kop stands are.
  21. its difficult for me not to mention seeing notts county gain promotion to the football league via playoffs at wembley, this moment will stay with me for the rest of my life. i think aside from this watching notts in the playoffs at meadow lane against coventry, we were robbed blind. the 2009/10 season was incredible, seeing ben davies, lee hughes, craig wesrcar and kasper all makes me thankful for getting into notts.
  22. have you see this tony? it answers the questions you asked about what did luke williams say in the wembley uncovered video.

Thanks @liampie it was impossible to make out the words and it was bugging me.

  23. he looks to be a good signing, i like what hes said and i think he should thrive even more with us
  24. he looks a good addition, it could be a replacement or further depth being added to our squad. i hope aaron nemane stays but i am excited about this new player.
