  1. best news of the day, i did not know until i got home and checked my phone. i think its great. there has been some split opinions on kyle cameron but i think he will get stronger. him and aden baldwin make a good partnership with connell rawlinson or richard brindley coming in. if we sign another cb, i we try richard brindley out wide on the right. i love when he goes forward.
  2. does anyone think the 4 years so far has flown by? i know it will because things are good, but it just seems to have swept past. its a shame we could not skip the last two owners, as i think the reedtz would have us playing higher if they took over after we won league two. even skipping all the petty and stupid drama would be nice. those days when the bills had not been paid just dragged and dragged.
  3. @super_ram is great, i love reading his posts and the banter is something that the sites missed for ages. the prediction league used to make me smile with @DangerousSausage getting comments about the teams he would choose. just like @Joshua, i feel the same feel i have grown to know and his family very well. i have mentioned before i dont have many friends from my school days, too many people thought i was weird and special (not in a good way). but it takes really nice people to put that faith in you, that it helps you come out and as i write this i am tearful. i think the world of the late @GrannyPie, but i am pleased to know super and i like him equally. super has always been supportive, always correcting me when i doubt myself and that had been drilled into my most of life life so i am glad that someone thinks otherwise. i dont care if hes a derby fan, i respect derby because of it and wish them well. i know secretly he is more a pie than a ram, hence why he is here and cheers us all up. i hope this does the same to him because hes a great person. thank you for making sure @Chris got the help he needed, i did not know completely and i think its amazing of you.
  4. working today, i had no spare time really. i dont mind but even my dinner break was cut short, tho i volunteered. i consider myself to be a team player and we managed to get the warehouse cleaned inside and then the yard/car park. it takes a lot of work to get it done in just one shift. saturday i will be going to see my aunt and uncle, i think they are planning to have a pub meal. sunday my dad wants to take me fishing, not really into it but i like spending time with him. i dont quite enjoy using rods to catch fish, even if we do put them back. i know i will come across as funny but its just not for me.
  5. i cant answer because i have only been to see chesterfield and one other non league team, yet i will pay attention to what fans say. reasonable journeys i will happy take anyone who wants to go, i want to start doing the 72 stadiums thing. i noticed @Megan_Elizax posted it on twitter. megan, i think you have a post idea there. i cant really start it with two non league grounds. say hi to @ARLukomski for me please.
  6. sorry, @Fan of Big Tone. but do you have the pon remote? i need to switch over. i think i remember @Fozzy and @Piethagoram mentioning cricket and going to trent bridge to see england.
  7. after a busy day at work, this is great news to come home to. i am so pleased that kyle cameron has signed. he said on twitter that it had been signed for awhile, so the club has known where to build. hes a good captain and will only get better.
  8. i agree, his experience and character is a great thing to have the dressing room and club. we are lucky to have him and i hope he enjoys the season ahead. fingers crossed he impresses, i hope he would coach for notts down the lane.
  9. issue with moving to quickly, is we need everything in place to survive. some teams are lucky they do well, others struggle and go back down. relegation could lead to a period where we are like was in the national league pushing for promotion rather than being a real driving force. i think we are good enough to go straight up, but i think we would need a few players who are extra quality to remain up there. we have a strong fighting spirit, but sometimes thats not enough. i do believe we will be fine regardless.
  10. its a difficult job, which needs a lot of hands on experience and i would hope the board chooses someone who has a good reputation in the game. i would prefer someone unconnected to the club, because sometimes that can get in the way of real progress behind the scenes.
  11. just dont go on a bender or what us notts now refer to 'a ruben rodrigues weekender bender' @super_ram.
  12. i will be going to cyprus for my next holiday, everythings booked. it will only be for 4 days, but i plan to go away for longer when it starts to get colder here, so then my thoughts are to go explore somewhere like india.
  13. funny @Fan of Big Tone, i have missed this type of laughter! i post to everything and i try my hardest to make it of value, i want to support those who put time in making a contribution. my comments might not be the best, but they are written with the best of my intention. i usually dont have many things to post to because i am on point with discussions, but i have had a few days where i have come to my surprise to see quite a few new items. when i see them, i try to make sure i have not missed any. my routine is to comment on what has the biggest priority with what time i have.
  14. welcome to the pride of nottingham, @rhodship66. i am pleased you joined us, do tell us a bit about yourself.
  15. if you say his name with a german style accent, i think it might get some funny looks. it sounds quite bad. i bet he gets no end of people calling him it whilst he plays or taking the mickey out of his last name. i am waiting also for the club just to announce players.
  16. i really should follow some of the newer members, i think community focused things like this can and may bring fans together. i love seeing the banter between @super_ram, @Fan of Big Tone. Even @Fozzy is getting involved. #teamfozzy @DangerousSausage is also someone who tends to be community focused. i will make sure i follow the right people.
  17. i have not met tony in person but i have spoken to him on facebook, hes a good fan and passionate about notts. he does his own djing which i think is pretty cool. this is a great insight into his years of supporting notts.
  18. notts fans are proud to have you at notts, jodi. go and play your game against england and i hope you do well. a lot of us will be wishing the same thing. 🏳
  19. he comes across as such a genuine person, i am looking forward to seeing him play for notts. i think this squad we are building will do well and with david mcgoldrick in the squad. i think we have the talent to push forward. seeing him turn down derby to come home, its something quite special and adds to the optimism i feel.
  20. some great points mentioned, if i was an oxford united fan i would be delighted to get ruben on a free. people might think its a big step up from national league but he did that convincingly, he should get more time on the ball and turn he should be able to use it more wisely. I am disappointed to see him go, not with him but because notts needs to make sure players are leaving on fees rather frees. we had plenty of time to talk him into signing a new deal, even if it was just another season. good luck to him though.
  21. the gaffer has added some excellent content since this was last updated, i thought i would help and try to encourage the readers of my message to give them a read. dont forgot to leave a comment if you have something to say.
  22. this is brilliant news, i think he is far the better player we signed in hope to keeping us in the football league. i am glad he will get the chance to play for us again in league two and work towards us establishing ourselves as hopefully a top half team. which is what we deserve! great news.
  23. yes! i am over the moon that jim has decided to stay for another season. i am really happy with how he performed last season. i do feel he has earned it and still offers us a lot.
  24. we knew this was going to happen but it was a case to who, i would have rather seen him join derby county. hes a good player but did have his inconsistent moments that all players do have. i am hoping sam austin will get the push to be the long term replacement, i dont think we need to go out and sign someone to fill this especially with david mcgoldrick signing.
