  1. brilliant signing, he looks a player on real quality and i think he will give us some flair in midfield. you dont get signed by arsenal without being able to play a certain way, if we can continue playing as we did last season, he will fit straight in and look like a player who has been here for much longer. i am very excited about his arrival.
  2. i am stoked about this signing, he seems a player of real quality and someone notts are lucky to have snapped up. i think he sees the ambition and forward direction in which the club is going. its a very good coup for notts, i am excited about this one.
  3. i think it makes more sense, with his injuries he probably wants to take a step back because he knows that it will help him in the long term. if he can stay fit and do well, he might attract interst or he could be a vital part of scunthrope uniteds revival. good luck to him, i hope cal manages to set the national league north on fire with his performances.
  4. with derby wanting to keep david mcgoldrick that for me showed how good it was for notts to see his homecoming return. he might be close to retirement but by stepping down it does prolong his career and as he has said himself. if he can help notts along the way, its only positive.
  5. i sent my dad a father dad card and a gift, i was not able to see him as he went away but i got the card to him early so that he got them before. i hope all the fathers on pon had a great day.
  6. unless @Chris has it on when you are around.
  7. happy birthday tony, hope you have a wonderful day! are you doing anything to celebrate it?

  9. it could be a moment in jodi jones international career that he remembers after retiring, to play against england and to be given a shirt afterwards. its something that is nice to see, i did not notice it happen until i saw it on social media. jodi has not even posted about it.
  10. good luck to jordan richards, boston seem to have made some good signings so far. they might be able to have a good season.
  11. it may sound harsh but i have no interest, he was not someone who seemed connected to the squad. always appeared like a loner and i did not rate him as a footballer myself. he just never bothered with our fans, never put more effort in on goal. he rand and showed promise but never delivered.
  12. it does not sound like my type of tv show, i have not seen or heard of it. is it new? i prefer more realistic drama based shows myself.
  13. yes, best to get rid of players like this. if he cant commit and stay focused on his team, then the club needs to remove the player before it leads to further upset.
  14. i wished he had the chance to play for a bit at wembley but he was a firm part of the celebrations. his rallying to the players to stay calm, i think helped. i dont think jim could single hardly change the outcome of our relegation but him and michael doyle did make a difference. i am happy that jim o'brien is still here because he deserves to see the club back to where we belong. hes been very important to our journey moving forward.
  15. @Chris seems fixed for me too. i hope it did not confuse people and that they were out enjoying the nice weather. its been a bit slower today.
  16. i watch the big games, including friendlies and maybe some of the less glamourous ones but i dont watch all. i think the work that has gone into improving the national team, it deserves the suppor.
  17. @DangerousSausage you really did not miss much, seeing how malta played they was never going to give him enough time to make an impact. england was very good, but at the same time malta were very poor. disorganised, poor in passing, defensively weak. i know malta are very average but i have seen more fight from teams with much weaker squads.
  18. no need to be sorry, i just thought i would mention it. it does not bother me that it happened, i still see both of my parents.
  19. unfortunately, yes. but he has been a season ticket holder at notts with my uncle for the past 3 seasons i think. he had been going to games the season we were relegated from the football league, at first it was for support because of the ah situation but i think hes enjoyed it. i did not take you post wrong or anything, but my parents are separated and its fine.
  20. he might not be a first team regular but would be one for the future, i hope the club looks to bring him back because if liverpool felt he had potential. then we should try to get it out of him further, he just needs experience and someone to aid him with how to improve further. it could be a good fit bringing him back to notts, we have so many players he could learn from.
  21. @Fan of Big Tone yes, its heartbreaking. i have seen a few documentaries about it, one was on the bbc following a married couple. the husband had recently been diagnosed and his son started filming it from that moment. i think his son said he worked in production, but it showed how it took effect and slowly turned him into someone they barely recognised. His wife was very supportive, but ended up needing to get him into a care home due to violence and anger. it unfolded and was very unpleasant to watch. i think they divorced but she still went to see him, he did not know what was happening and felt he had been abandoned. that he could not figure out what he had done wrong. im incorrect, it was his grandfather.
  22. i think we already follow each other, i think engaging with each outside of pon would be a nice touch. i have been doing this with tony, but i dont tend to tweet much because of unpleasant comments by some on there. i stay within my comfort and i think it would be nice to support our pon friends. is there a way we could create a circle between all of us? i dont really understand that feature tho. yes, i like allardyces tash. i wont tag dangeroussausage in but both of those two have a good sense of humour.
  23. i am curious about the process the club will undertake in order to find a suitable ceo, i think pulling a business mind from outside of football might be a good call. someone who has a good history working with companies, as the football side will come with time. im not saying we will, but how many unemployed ceo are there that have football experience? probably not many. we might even recruit someone from the national league, i think that is quite likely.
  24. @Chris @Fan of Big Tone i bet he was yelling at the players, shouting what are you doing and to shoot, you know on the crest of every emotion during the game. my dad and uncle are the same, they come back from games saying to me that notts played well, but will point out a certain moment and tell me that this should have been done. then say something about forest, i will joke about notts and he will say i like county but i am a red son. once you experience notts, its hard not to be come invested.
  25. just to mention when i came on just a few moments ago, i had to sign in again. i never have to sign in and i am wondering if its worth mentioning just incase its done the same with others who may forget their passwords. not a big thing, but i think i should mention it. thanks gaffer.
