  1. i have not met tony in person but i have spoken to him on facebook, hes a good fan and passionate about notts. he does his own djing which i think is pretty cool. this is a great insight into his years of supporting notts.
  2. notts fans are proud to have you at notts, jodi. go and play your game against england and i hope you do well. a lot of us will be wishing the same thing. ???????? ????????
  3. he comes across as such a genuine person, i am looking forward to seeing him play for notts. i think this squad we are building will do well and with david mcgoldrick in the squad. i think we have the talent to push forward. seeing him turn down derby to come home, its something quite special and adds to the optimism i feel.
  4. some great points mentioned, if i was an oxford united fan i would be delighted to get ruben on a free. people might think its a big step up from national league but he did that convincingly, he should get more time on the ball and turn he should be able to use it more wisely. I am disappointed to see him go, not with him but because notts needs to make sure players are leaving on fees rather frees. we had plenty of time to talk him into signing a new deal, even if it was just another season. good luck to him though.
  5. Use your trusty ram... ????????
  6. the gaffer has added some excellent content since this was last updated, i thought i would help and try to encourage the readers of my message to give them a read. dont forgot to leave a comment if you have something to say.
  7. yes! i am over the moon that jim has decided to stay for another season. i am really happy with how he performed last season. i do feel he has earned it and still offers us a lot.
  8. we knew this was going to happen but it was a case to who, i would have rather seen him join derby county. hes a good player but did have his inconsistent moments that all players do have. i am hoping sam austin will get the push to be the long term replacement, i dont think we need to go out and sign someone to fill this especially with david mcgoldrick signing.
  9. i think hes spoken well in his first interview back at the club, i did not realise he supported notts. i hope he does well and settles in well. i think he will do well instantly connecting with our existing squad. we need a chant just for him and one for + john bostock.
  10. i only saw jodi jones play in the playoff games and i thought he was ace, he looked way better than league two standard. i thought he would become a hot property in the championship and shoot from there, but its unfortunate that an injury derailed his career. hes found a club where he can re build. i think he could become a bigger legend at notts than at coventry. his help in the national league has helped this, he played a massive part in that.
  11. chris and craig short were both centre backs right? i am struggling to think of other brothers that have played for notts.
  12. i think he might play in a similar role to ruben, i am hoping and wishing we can maintain both ruben and nemane but i do feel like both may accept offers elsewhere. as for his age, its not a concern but we need to be remindful about not having enough speed. goodluck to david.
  13. good luck, jodi. you deserve your call up and if you start or play against england. i will be supporting you! i will naturally be in your other games, hope you and malta manage to get some points in the table too.
  14. boston, alfreton and shrewsbury are all games i hope to make, obviously i will be at both meadow lane games since they are at home. the shrewsbury and alfreton game will be nice trips, never been to boston but heard they have a decent non league ground.
  15. adam senior and zac williams would be superb signings, but i think crewe would want a fair bit of money for williams. he might be more inline to more to wrexham since hes welsh. we can dream though!
  16. if we dont loan him out, we need him to be the replacement for sam slocombe, give him faith and he will improve. i really hope he can become our future number one.
  17. brilliant read @Fan of Big Tone and @Chris, i am glad you got to watch tony, i also appreciate reading about your background and why we know your username as what it is.
  18. he looks to be a good signing, i like what hes said and i think he should thrive even more with us
  19. he was awful and very average, only thing was his pace and control. if he could cross, he would have been a better winger than a striker.
  20. to say you have been away on your families holiday, @Chris. i think you have done brilliantly with the content. as with how long @Simon Clark would have spent on writing his feature, i realise that for you to proof, publish and post takes time. i love the quality right now, i think the standard is very high.
  21. simon clarke i can appreciate the amount of effort and time that has gone into researching this piece, it must have been a lot. thank you for writing it, i enjoy reading your features and posts! i think there is a pitfall when money, club size, quality of players and owners that plays part in a teams relegation back to the nation league. that does not mean it dont happen to teams that are good and have everything going for it, sometimes football can be weird but i think most of the times its down to one of the earlier points i mentioned. a lot of the notts players seem to enjoy their football, arriving to the ground with smiles and the squads chemistry is at a high. this is why i think notts could be one of the few teams that can get back to back promotions, i wont be disappointed if we dont but i do believe we can be one of 3 or 4 teams to be in for the title this upcoming season.
  22. it just gets better and better for macaulay langstaff, i am pleased that he has scooped more awards. his efforts this past season really does deserve it.
  23. hes a great keeper that just needs the support we afford others at times. im certain he will play a big role in taking us further! so pleased sam slocombe signed on again.
  24. i have nothing but respect for connell rawlinson, he has played his part in getting us back up and i love that he wants to go again and aim for promotion. how is throws himself into dangerous situations without a thought, carries on even when he's picked up head injuries shows his dedication. its time we as fans cut him some slack and stop criticizing him for being slow etc.
  25. i don't understand it. ???? do you just guess words that fit? i am not really sure, i have not played it but at the same time i have seen people especially on twitter play it.
