  1. So tonight I got a little scampaish and put a roll of toilet roll on top of the door .. let’s just say it hit the mark and the person I wanted to get I got we had a laugh about it and I got to thinking about little things I did as a kid cling flim on the toilet seat always put a hole in it cause I never wanted to get in trouble plus knock a door run and other things ..

are there any other practical jokers among us or retired practical jokers.

what tricks did you play or what was your favourite trick do you still play them .. ?

  2. Sonthe question my gamers is simple favourite game either on PS4 or Xbox

  3. So with Pon growing by the day new members all the time I thought it may be nice to post about how long we have been fans maybe what was our first game we went to just things like that people who got us in to County just something to share with the new members.

  4. I worked out yesterday that I've been to 38 away games in my time supporting Notts. I know it might not seem a lot but I've done a lot more over the past few seasons and I plan to do more this season and in the future.

Out of the 38 away games I have been to:

    W 6

    D 13

    L 19

    The 6 wins are

Doncaster 0-2 Notts 2011/12 FA Cup

    Doncaster 0-1 Notts 2012/13 League 1

    Port Vale 0-2 Notts 2014/15 League 1

    Scunthorpe 0-1 Notts 2014/15 League 1

    Port Vale 0-1 Notts 2017/18 League 2

Brentford 0-1 Notts 2017/18 FA Cup

  5. So Hardy has always gone on about his 5 year plan with Notts getting the back to  position where County deserve .. I know he’s invested etc but that’s when things went well but the first time of trouble the board don’t back the gaffer people leave and now he has again open his mouth without speaking saying he wouldn’t have brought County if he could turn back time. I have a feeling he will sell the club if he gets a good enough offer. He is a business man and owning a football team is harder than he thought.

my question is do you think he will sell the club if he gets the right offer.

More importantly can we trust hardy

  6. Mark Stallard has praised this partnership a few times already, could it be that these two are the centre backs that can form a partnership that could help improve the goal conceded?

It sounds promising already, and given time it should only get better.

I don't think it will solve all the issues, as I would like to see a keeper brought into the club that is good enough to replace Ross Fitzsimons but Shaun Brisley and Elliot Ward sound like they could work well together. Harry Kewell should form partnerships across the park, however the centre back's is the main area that needs to improve.

Keep Richard Duffy out and we'll be alright! ;)

  7. Please do not think for one second this may be a good signing. He is a woeful keeper and the only thing I can see relevant to this signing is somebody to push Fitz but he is literally the same keeper. If you don't believe me ... well here the proof. Playing in the green goalkeeper kit for Port Vale.

Please notice, 2nd goal he comes for the ball and goes back in his decision. So he is indecisive. The 3rd goal look at his lack of awareness to spot the other player and how far he comes out of his net, putting all of his eggs in one basket. Shocking signing if this comes off.

  8. So Harry Kewell has took the Reigns officially.. how do you think he will fair as the new County manager.?

  9. So with Duffy injured who would you like to see as our captain in his absent.?

  10. So my questions is for you gamers here on Pon.

Do you prefer Fifa or pro evolution soccer

Are you ps4 or X BoX

    Do you play on line

I think maybe....just maybe.....our season is on the brink of being kickstarted by the change of management.

This may have been the Mickey Mouse tinpot joke cup. I don't suppose it was anywhere near a full-strength Grimsby side. But the fact is that for a good hour Notts put the misery of the last month behind them and pretty much played their hosts off the park.

We were treated to a display of passing football, which totally belied a team supposedly bereft of confidence. We were playing the ball out from the back, with intricate short passing through the midfield, and good movement. No sign of the "frightened rabbits" of Saturday. It was a joy to watch at times.

It wasn't perfect.  Fitz had a couple of hairy moments in the first half, and got away with them. But he had been immaculate in the second half, catching everything cleanly and making a couple of excellent saves, until the 88th minute when he fumbled the ball under pressure and presented Grimsby with the winner. I think the time has come to take him out of the firing line. Pindroch joined in with the warm up but wasn't in the matchday squad, but he can't be far off ready. Or maybe there's a new keeper coming in ?

Up front Stead and Hemmings worked hard and effectively, well supported by Boldewijn and Alessandra, but the cutting edge wasn't quite there, despite both strikers forcing very good saves from the home keeper, and Stead only being denied by a last-gasp tackle after a great run and cross by Boldewijn.

After half time there were changes. Dennis replaced Hemmings, and Hewitt replaced Husin (who had played very well, but taken a heavy knock earlier in the game). This seemed to upset Notts' rhythm a little bit, and coupled with some changes to the home side made the game more even. Grimsby got their equaliser through a penalty on 70 minutes and that gave them the initiative a bit.  Notts' heads didn't drop.....it was just that Grimsby had their tails up. But still it took another goalkeeping error to decide the game.

Very impressed with Ward. His foul gave the penalty away but that was his only mistake of a convincing performance. Get him paired up with Davies and they'll be ok. Kellett had a fine game at left back, as did Oxlade-Chamberlain on the right. Alessandra had a very good game and Milsom and Husin (until his injury) were both superb in the centre.

If Kewell can have this much impact in two days, what can he do in two weeks ?

I was delighted to see that Notts was winning but frustrated when I saw they had lost.

It might be a cup that nobody seems to care about but at the end of the day had they have won, it would have been a big confidence boost for the players. That's why I am disappointed.

  12. After just going live on Facebook and Twitter. Harry Kewell sure had a lot to say. After getting through Hardy's usual 'this is a journey' ramble we actually got a chance to hear from the new manager. Personally he's changed my mind on the situation. He seems to let the players have some free time in training to gel with each other and practice together. He also wants to hit the ground running. He is happy to reunited with Enzio and even said he tried to come in for Hemmings and Thomas for Crawley. I hope he starts with a win tomorrow so he can get the confidence back up within the squad after admitting it was low at the moment. He also teased 2 more signings. Karl Henry anybody? My mood has definitely changed and I feel more confident with him now.

Anyone else listen to the live stream and if so what did you think?

  13. So he has come under speculation a lot in the past few weeks especially by me. Ok he has a poor defence in front of him but in my opinion he was the reason we lost against FGR. So I thought I would just do a bit of research and show why he is in no way shape or form fit to be a Number 1 in a League Two side.

    Age: 24

Total Games in Non League: 71

Total Games in National League: 1

Total Games in Football League: 23

In all league appearances for Notts County (23) Ross has conceded 35 goals and receiving 1 red card.

In my opinion this is absolutely shocking and how on earth he deserves a number 1 shirt with our club after having no National League experience and his only league experience with us is a joke. Comment your thoughts down below.

I swear I read somewhere that he was 35, 33 isn't a bad age. He should be in his element at this level and I just hope he can take the knocks which come this way.

  15. So Alan Hardy has just announced the games that left back Dan Jones will miss as a result of his straight on Saturday against Forest Green.

A great interview. Normally you can say talk is cheap but you look at the way he addresses the media. No smile, no shakyness. Pure emotion that he wants to do this job. I believe that if his actions are as good as his talk we will do exceptional.

I would be inclined to agree.

I think understands the nature of the task at hand and he seems to know what's going wrong. Part of me felt even Kevin Nolan didn't understand just how bad things had gotten.

  18. Do you feel Harry Kewell will get the job done for Notts?

I am curious to know what fans think about the chances of Harry Kewell having success at Notts, will he safe the club from relegation? Can he push Notts up the table and give League Two a promotion challenge?

Optimistically, I just wish to read that he has installed some sort of belief within the squad whilst steering the club to safety. I would write-off promotion for this because the league survival is far more important. I just hope Harry Kewell has enough about him to improve the defence whilst getting the best out of this Notts squad. There is time to turn things around I think, its just a question of if he can.

What would your targets for Harry Kewell be? And do you think he will get the job done?

  19. Who's idea was it to play this straight after the game against Forest Green Rovers?

It rubbed salt into the wounds from seeing another 3-1 league defeat.

  20. So @Piethagoram tweeted central news about the new manager arriving and lo and behold they read his tweet out. Well done dude the tweet is below for all to see .. would you agree with his tweet ..

  21. Good morning it’s Friday at last, I remember when I used to long for Fridays, the start of the weekend, now it’s just another day since retirement, mind you having said that I do like Fridays now as we always have a home made curry. Except today we aren’t because we have a big day tomorrow and we don’t want to smell of curry. More of that tomorrow.

Grandson George went to scouts for the first time last night and really enjoyed it, apparently they boiled water on a fire and played dodge ball, next week they are throwing axes! Sounds like a health and safety nightmare. :panic: I think scouts will be good for him, he’s a bit of a loner and doesn’t mix with other kids very well, hopefully scouts will bring him out a bit.

Right, as soon as all the kids are safely in school I’m off for a run, I pass two schools and it can get a bit busy so I wait till they’re all inside.

Have a good day whatever you are up to.
