Slocombe 6 - Collected crosses like General Grievous collects lightsabers
Brindley 6 - Had his times getting up the line but not much of note
Rawlinson 7 - Dealt with Effiong well and came forward with the ball out of defence
Lacey 8 - Passing to the strikers and midfield in the first half was tremendous. Solid yet again. The guy is taking the mickey
McCrory 6 - Lost the ball and was ran past on a few occasions but solid enough
Osborne 5 - Still needs to work on his crossing. Should have put more power on his ball to Thomas
Rose 4 - Too many ineffective passes. Was too deep and almost cost us
Doyle 7 - Passing was alright and he got stuck in like he normally does. Was ready for the battle
Boldewijn 6 - Was anonymous for quite a while but oh so close with that free kick
Wootton 6 - Did his best to bring the ball down and into play. Sometimes his first touch was good and sometimes it wasn't
Thomas 6 - Made them runs but needs to score that chance in the second half. He has half the net to aim for
Tyson 6 - Really lively when he came on. Good to see
Dennis 6 - Didn't really get much to be fair. Had a half chance
Game 31 - The Whites (H)

Notts lacked grit, it was obvious to me that JOB could have offered that spark.
I thought Tyson looked fired up, he chased everything and looked like a player who wanted to impress.
A stalemate might be disappointed, but nothing ended up being dropped and it's a clean sheet.
There will be games like this.
It's all about collecting wins on the row, and not losing games.

How has Nottingham changed as a city over the years?
During my last visit, everywhere had changed. I noticed a lot of the little things such as the market square and pubs which are no longer there. I thought it would be an interesting topic, to see how members of PON reminisce about Nottingham itself.

I thought this would make an interesting discussion for PON members, what job did you want to do as a kid? i.e what did you want to do when you grew up, compared to your actual job now.
As a child.. Fireman
Grown up. I work in banking [I am not a banker just to be clear].

Is this the best Notts County goal of all time? Of the century? Of the last 10 years? Let's get your thoughts.

Not really an interesting week again, work and sorting my life out really. Been slightly unwell, just a slight cough but getting on with it.
Woke up at 6 today for a team meeting and my manager announced that she is going to a different store. As stupid as it sounds, I am going to miss her, the 3 years I've been working, she is one I've been the closest to.
My driving lessons start again Wednesday, after finding a new instructor and I take my theory test for the second time on Thursday ????
Very mixed emotions this week for me. How has your week been?

What is everyone working towards with their new year's resolutions?
I will be focused on losing a little weight myself, nothing serious but a healthier approach is my focus.

Just want start off with saying I hope you all had a lovely christmas and new year. Sorry I missed last weeks weekly round up, got caught up with work commitments. So I'm classing this one as week 3, even though it should be week 4.
Not a very interesting one this week unfortunately, been at work everyday since Thursday and my next day off is Thursday (just thinking of the money).
I did however start the new year off right at Maidenhead, with a lovely bunch of people and many memories were made.
Smashed my phone screen, which I found out it's going to cost me £100 to fix ????
My new years resolutions are that I want to go down to London to watch a musical, to stay organised and to pass my driving test.
How has your week been and have you got any new years resolutions this year?

Which cities stand out for you because of their footballing heritage and long history of rivalries in the game?
So, less of the Manchester United vs Manchester City.
This one only exists due to the money pumped into City by their wealthy owner, Manchester City for me never had that fierce clash that the likes of Everton v Liverpool or, Sheffield Wednesday v Sheffield United has.
I am curious about what PON members have seen and which cities would be in their top 5 [purely based on football heritage and rivalry].

I'm glad we went through, the last thing we needed was a replay. It keeps the squad players happy if everyone is getting games (not to mention match fit) and keeps confidence high.
How did we actually play? Any stand-out performers? How many went?
Onwards to the next round... Some funds needed for the club the further we go too.

Notts played as per usual, well in spells.
I thought Kristian Dennis did well to come back into the squad, Sam Osborne did okay too.
No idea on the attendance but it was more than I expected.
So my lovelies, Saturday is prediction league day again. The Bananarama League clubs are mostly involved in the excitement that is the FA Trophy, but there's a full Football League programme. So add your scores and one joker each below (and don't forget to actually post them - you know who you are
). Kick-off is Saturday at 3!

Shrewsbury Town v Lincoln City
Macclesfield Town v Oldham Athletic
Scunthorpe United v Newport County
Dover Athletic v Hartlepool United

Which players will still be here in 5 years time?
There are some good players at the club, if Notts are to progress further, I think that the majority of the squad needs to be retained and given chance to settle. Too many teams start over, offering small contracts. Do you think many will be here in 5 years time? If so, who?
Do you think retaining players would be a sign of progression also?

if neal ardley is looking to add strength to the squad, do you think the football leagues transfer window will help notts?

I stumbled across this on YouTube, it's actually very interesting I feel. Give it a watch!
I'd be interested to see what you think.
PS. I thought @super_ram would enjoy it especially.

I really think this was a game we should have won. But i guess a point away is better than none. And Notts have done really well over the Christmas fixtures.
One point is better than none.
Notts responded well after this game, from what I have read the pitch wasn't the best.
If you begin the video of Sir Charlie Palmer's goal against Nottingham Forest tonight at 11:59:24, his header will hit the back of the Reds net at exactly midnight.
Start the New Year right!

Does Notts need any actual further signings?
I would be pleased just with the signing of Kyle Wootton on a permanent basis, I don't feel there is much need for any other positions to be covered. Maybe the wing?

Will Notts be able to sign Kyle Wootton permanently?
There's talk that the club is trying, I don't believe in rumours without a credible source but this does need to be looked into.
