Euro 24 Watch

not good enough by scotland, a decent game but they should have asked more questions and tried to be more direct. their fans are very good, their team is not that good. the draw was very lucky, they have two own goals to their name and otherwise nothing.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game. It was closely contested, and either team had a chance to emerge victorious. Scotland and Switzerland both had fortunate moments, and there were some lucky escapes. The Swiss, in particular, might have felt a bit unlucky. Overall, it was an entertaining match between two evenly matched teams.

Switzerland adopted the correct strategy; they merely had to overcome the offside trap. Scotland relied on fortune and indeed found it with that serendipitous goal. Defensively, I believe the Scots performed poorly.

Great play by England to get the lead, a 34-year-old Kyle Walker proves why he's in the squad. Great persistence, which otherwise might have been a poor pass. Harry Kane proving he's usually always in the right place for a chance. I hope this calms out nervous, as we have been guilty of giving the ball away too lightly but have what it takes to wrap the game up.

Harry Kane.

Denmark 0 England 1: 18 min

Kyle Walker down the right wing crosses into the box, a little deflection & Kane doesn't miss from there

Since England scored, Denmark are pressing and England are defending deep again.

And guess what, Denmark score

Denmark 1 England 1: 33 min

England are playing so deep that when they do attack there is no one to pass it to and England are under pressure once again.

Then there is too much tippy tappy walking pace stuff from England. It's just not good enough.

Denmark on top.

Half time.

Denmark 1 England 1

Well wasn't that complete rubbish. We get a lucky goal and then park the bus and hand the initiative to Denmark. We are second best in every department and second to every ball. I'm expecting some changes at the break and a big improvement, otherwise we'll lose this.

Big second half.

Start pressing Denmark. Let's see some fight and some passion.

Nothing changed from the first half. England are too pedestrian.

They have to liven it up.

England make 3 substitutions to try to liven England up. More pace upfront.

End of the game.

I can't recall ever seeing such a poor England performance in a World Cup match

It was negative, lethargic & without any passion and the tactics by the manager questionable.

Could we see a 0:0 here. I wouldn't bet against it.

England’s performance was underwhelming, and it seems their confidence dips when the game doesn’t go as expected. While the pitch conditions were subpar, it shouldn’t be an excuse; the Danish team managed just fine. They applied pressure well and disrupted our play. England must learn to adapt and counteract such tactics more swiftly.

England's performance was really poor, it looked like a group of players that were playing together for the first time and hadn't really been given any instructions what to do when on the ball, other than have as many touches as you like. And Jordan Pickford continuously telling the players in front of him to calm down was odd, if they'd had played any slower they would've fallen asleep...

Spain play like how I imagine England want to, they've just gone a goal up against Italy.
