its not a good for scottish football or partick thistle.

they need to get a grip of the finances in the scottish leagues, because i can imagine its harder for them to see it out.

It’s always sad to hear about a club like Partick Thistle struggling financially. Scottish football is such a different world to what we’re used to, but the challenges are similar, balancing the books while trying to be competitive. I can’t help but think that more should be done to ensure clubs stay afloat, like salary caps or better revenue sharing. Thistle has a loyal fanbase, and it’s the supporters who always feel the impact of poor financial decisions. As a Notts fan, I’ve seen how easily things can go wrong and how long it takes to recover. Hopefully, their board can find a way to turn things around without losing their league status or club identity.

I’m always surprised by how little attention financial issues in football get until it’s too late. Partick Thistle’s problems highlight how precarious things can be, even for well-supported clubs.

Football’s financial side always feels like a minefield. Partick Thistle’s situation seems all too familiar to fans of lower-league clubs. It’s a tightrope between investing to improve and staying within budget. When clubs take risks and it doesn’t pay off, the consequences are devastating. Scottish football seems even harder due to the smaller market, but it’s a shame to see such a historic club in trouble. I can’t help but think there needs to be more oversight or help for clubs at that level. 

At Notts, we've narrowly escaped financial turmoil on several occasions. We understand the anxiety that comes with those precarious situations. We’re incredibly fortunate to have the Reedtz Brothers as our current owners. Their prudent financial planning and thoughtful management have kept us stable. If more clubs adopted this sensible approach, it’s likely we’d witness fewer financial crises across the football world.

It is so sad to see another famous Club is having financial issues.

It's also not surprising that it is another Glasgow based club having problems.

Some of us will  remember Third Lanark, another Glasgow club going out of business in 1968.

It's just another example of the domination of Glasgow by Celtic and Rangers.

Other clubs spend money to compete with them but it's just a futile venture unfortunately.
