Tyrese Hall to Notts

It appears that Tyrese is a versatile midfielder who is comfortable playing as a number 6, 8 or 10.

This will give Notts lots of options in midfield. I do wonder if it will mean that Notts might release or send on loan and existing midfielder.

Tyrese is the 11th signing of this transfer window & his recruitment once again demonstrates the owners intent for success at ML this season.

Sounds like another good signing but can you have too many midfielders? We seem to have over loaded midfield and still require another forward.

Can you also have too many players on loan?

Well the last loanee from Tottenham was quite good wasn’t he! Maybe I’ll completely change my mind in a month but I wouldn’t say we were in need of player who can play as a 6 or 8 in midfielder. If he plays in the No.10 role and is great I’ll be happy. Either way we are completely overloaded with midfielders, we'll have to move 2 or 3 on now.

We’ve also gone in quite heavy with the young loanees this season, we pretty much used only go for one or two, wonder why we’ve changed so drastically this season? Clubs loan you their young players to play them, I hope this doesn’t cause us problems.

Nice to see young talent coming in. Smart move if it saves money. Still need a striker though.

welcome Tyrese Hall!

I'm very excited now. I think someone like Iorpenda and Hall could complement each other and it should be enough creativity and drive to really get us going.

Does mean it's the end of the road, definitely for Hinchy, most likely Edwards, potentially Robertson and maybe, just maybe Grant?

Hinchy and Edwards seem a little out of place now. I feel they will stick with Robertson and see how he recovers. Grant's position looks dependent on who the new No. 9 is.

Definitely need to let some go though. It would be disruptive as well as expensive to keep this many midfielders.

i dont really think its the end of any player, i personally agree with @CliftonMagpie that the club are trying to cover potential injuries ahead of time before they make any impact and relying on the loan market so that we can use whatever budget remains in january for a promotion push fingers crossed. he looks like a useful player to see if it works.

the things about loan players, if they dont fit in we can always send them back.

Personally, I think Grant should be first in line for a short loan up til xmas/new year. He's on a 3 year contract and we need him to improve. He's not going to produce the goals and assists we absolutely need to do justice to that key position to support a promotion push. He has to go somewhere (NL probably) where he can learn to do that, know what that feels like and gain the confidence he can do it. And then come back.

I see what you are saying & it may well happen, however I think there will be midfielders like Reynolds, Sanderson, Edwards & Hinchy that could possibly be considered before Grant for a loan out.

@super_pie (my son) came and showed me the picture Notts had teased; I instantly loaded the Notts site and checked for news. I came a few minutes later, but the picture led me to think it was a permanent signing. I hope that it was a striker and that we would be ready to get players to compete to start.

I felt a bit surprised when I read it was a season-long loan for another midfielder.

Tyrese Hall would be a big delight if he has goals in him and Man of the Match performances, but it's tough to expect him to do what George Abbott did last season as they are two different players. If Hall maintains a focused approach on attacking, scoring goals will be incredibly valuable.

He looks like a good addition to the squad. We need someone who can score and step in when needed. Being picked twice for the England Under-19s shows he’s got something about him, there are plenty of young players fighting for that chance. If he settles quickly and makes the most of his minutes, he should gradually work his way into the team. There’s strong competition in midfield, so I’m pleased with the signing.

Looks like another promising youngster. Tend to agree that we have a plethora of midfielders, but hopefully, we might have another gem on our hands.

Just how you fit Luker, Hall, Iorpenda and Norburn alongside the established group is a challenge, to say the least.

I’m looking forward to seeing Tyrese Hall in action. He seems like a promising young player, and I’m keen to see how he fits in at Notts. If he can score goals or help set them up, there’s every chance this loan spell will be a success. With all the new signings, it makes checking the matchday squad more exciting. Now we just need Hall and the others to show what they can do on the pitch.

With the limit on how many loan players can play at once, there’s a worry we’ll need to be careful with injuries and suspensions. But if we can keep the experienced players fresh for the big games, there should be enough minutes to go around and chances to rest when needed.

One of the main problems is how we’ve often relied on a small squad. It’s led to our best players getting worn out and running on empty by the end.

Hall looks like the sort of player who can slot into several roles across the midfield, which is ideal for how Paterson seems to want to play. With so many matches and the risk of injuries, we’ll need lads who can step in and perform without needing weeks to adjust. If he can keep the tempo up and play on the front foot, that’ll be a big plus.

Also reassuring to see the club building on relationships with teams like Spurs. Abbott was useful last year, and if Hall can have a similar or even bigger impact, it bodes well. These sorts of deals are exactly how you blend youth with ambition, let’s just hope he gets enough minutes to develop and help us push on.

It’s a bit different for us to try and make the most of the loan market. The club has usually treated it as a way to bring in the odd player who fits a gap. I just hope we can keep players like Tyrese Hall happy. If he does well, he should get minutes, but there’s always the chance he won’t get the time he needs to show what he can do. I can’t say for sure, but Martin Paterson has plenty of options in midfield now.

The young loan signings should offer something different. They must have shown promise to catch the eye of their parent clubs, so we can only hope the loan spells go well.

I don’t mind using this part of the market, as long as every player who comes in is willing to work hard and give solid performances.
