This season Gillingham are proving themselves not to be push overs! (much like ourselves), they're a much better side than the one we saw last season. A lot of this goes down to the experienced "Paul Taylor" for me and he's got players like Danny Kedwell doing much better. Of course they also have Cody McDonald, both of which have scored four so far this season.

Notts will be thankful for the sterling defence we have this season, which I hope the two gills players will find hard to face.

That said, I do think we can beat them. If we can get the crowd going and the football flowing, I don't see why we can't beat them. I think the score could be 2-0, I at least hope big Roy keeps them out!

Thoughts? Predictions?

i cant help but think if we put on a convincing win that we might be able to start a roll. not that i think we can win every game!

gillingham are not to be feared, they are nothing special and i have faith we can break them down. hopefully get a few goals here, confidence would be quite high if we could get back to back wins.

The football is not as bad, we remain in games and do well against sides like Gillingham. If Derry does stick to playing two upfront, I can see it paying off. Harrad looked full of confidence and even more so after he had scored.3-1 I reckon but don't hold it against me.

Well we should not lose control of the match to these.

Gillingham are not a passing side, they hoof the ball. This could be the only problem which I can see, should be a 2-0 home win.

I'm hoping to see the mighty big flag, always feels like a proper game when it comes out and the effect it as on lifting the fans, not just the kop is amazing.

I haven't seen it so far within this season.

Gillingham should lineup with one forward, which will be interesting. Their fans are not happy with playing this way away from home, I thought they had two up front in their last game (as the commentator mentioned their duo).

We're playing at home against a team that have a similar record to us so far this season. Our players should be settling in now.I agree with @liampie but let's not get too carried away.

Well, we are about as unpredictable as it gets. Given the last 2 away performances & results I have to go for a win - hopefully, the forwards have got the taste for goals and we could record a convincing home victory.

That said, 2 - 1 to the mighty Pies. Oh, go on then, 3 - 1.

Notts: Carroll, Dumbuya, Adams, Hollis ©, G Thompson, Cassidy, Jones, Noble, Harrad, McLaughlin, Laing.

Subs: Spiess, Ismail, Wroe, Smith, Murray, McKenzie, Cranston.

Interesting formation, more than harsh on Cranston and again makes a mockery of what has been said in the press

Typical really, we broke well and the goal was good. Very pleased with how we battled but when they had the pen, jeez did my heart sink!

Big Roy saved us though.

If you don't mind me asking, what we're you doing pitch side?

I thought you sat in the kop???

I was taking pictures of the game :P

It's something I have always wanted to do and I respect people like @Dan + PoN's good friends B&O Press Photo for being so darn good. I did sit in the Kop, before I moved to the pitch. Hehe

8TH! We're 8th in the table, 8th! Nosebleed territory! Great 3 points today. I'm falling in love with Shaun Derry. What a manager, what a team. The manager, goalscorer and captain all from the city of Nottingham, something to be proud of. So pleased with how we've started this season. This really is a side to be proud of.

I wasn't there unfortunately but it sounded like another great battling backs to the wall win something that we are starting to expect from Shaun and Gregs team.

Well done Notts!

Much more enjoyable performance. Solid at the back again, Carroll was immense! Much more creative with two up front and actually looked like we were capable of scoring. I'm not convinced that Jones is the right option in midfield but that's just a minor criticism. I would send Ismail back to Wolves, he's not really proving his worth!

it was a rollercoaster of a ride yesterday, it could have gone either way again before we scored. we was in control though, they just had chances aswell. notts could have been 3-1 up at half time and we had a couple of great chances in the second half.

unlucky that the gillingham player fluffed his pen from their view of the game, carroll did great to save it.

we did deserve the 3 points i feel.

True Notts fashion. Never a dull moment hey.

This time last year we were Drowning in our pity and for some the bottle ;)

Today, were 1 point from the Playoffs and 4 from the Auto's ha ha ha

If the saying goes, about 10 games into the season. Then i'm going to be a happy camper come April/May

Perhaps for the first time in 5 years. The Future look really Bright, and guess what? Shuan Derry Will be here longer than people think.

Once Notts is in your Blood, It'll never leave.

I'm super happy this Glorious Sunday morning COYP

I had a feeling about 15 minutes in that this game might not go our way, we seemed to being better and usually that results in things going against us. Each player put a shift in, they played very well and with a lot of heart.

You cannot fault that or this notts squad.

I was a bit disappointed that we stepped off the gas towards the end, I think the penalty was ultimately avoidable but very harsh upon reply. Notts struck the ball about and made good movement, the chances created almost paid off. It's better with two strikers, it's more positive and I am happy for us to play one striker when it is suited.

Harrad had a good game, as did Carroll.

Positive result mind and perhaps they was tired towards the end, they did put a lot into the game itself.
