Does anyone think Derry will drop Adams tonight, replacing him with Newton? I am hopeful to see him.

It would be nice to always see your new signings feature, however he mentioned on the Magpie Player that he needs to setup his fitness so I am wondering if he will be match fit. Adams for me is one of them players who can offer us much more, he doesn't do much to always warrant the praise he receives but that said it's hard to see him just being sidelined.

Could it be possible Adams gets the nod to play as a winger?

I think he's better going forward than he is at defending, typical player whom frustrates you really.

Adams for me. Newton described as an attacking full back, and against Sheff U, we need a bit of defensive solidity. 

Adams for me, he's been playing better as of late and we know what to expect from him.

I'd say go with who you know.

Stick Adams on the wing, Newton at the back and get someone to partner Bajner.

Derry said on Radio N that Newton would have to fight for his place as Adams has been playing so well.

 

I expect Newton to be on the bench at Adams to start.

Give Newton a try, how else will he prove himself?

i would rather see newton, adams did not deserve to replace cranston who did far better defensively than adams did. yet he came straight into the squad when he returned and i feel it would be nice to see him myself.

I would hope that we make use of the new signings.

We would have been better off with Newton starting & Adams in front of him. Yet again Hayhurst offered nothing, not sure what use he is tbh.

Adams did ok again, a bit clumsy at times and he misplaces the odd pass but he tackled well and got about his defensive duties very capably after the opening 20 mins.

Is Hayhurst struggling to settle or his he being marked out of games?

Newton and Adams could be a good partnership if its given time, makes sense if Hayhurst is not delivering.
