I would just like to know where you think Ronan Murray stands at Notts?

Do you think he should leave? espicially with Adam Campbell being loomed around in the air.

People have been telling me that they feel Ronan Murray is the type of player who can only do well once every so many seasons, which I don't quite agree with. I think last season he desperately missed Spencer and we used him as a part player.

Someone like Murray needs to settle down and make the position his own.

We didn't allow this to happen last year and to some degree, it will always unsettle a player. I think he could be a massive player for us this year, if we get him settled down and within one position, I see him scoring and being useful. Fans will accept him if he can score, all will be forgiven but people need to remember he's young, so if Moniz can get the best out of him - I think he will be an important player.

If he can establish himself as a regular starter, that would help.

We need extra strikers, what do we have to lose with Murray? I would not release him because we have other strikers lined up.

Murray is still a very good upcoming player.

I do believe we can get the best out of him, yet we need to settle to some degree in order for this to happen.

What he needs is a 'fit' season so the excuse of injury cant be used.

Fit? Your joking right?

Last year he was constantly played all over, there's no excuses there because the year before he did well. Why? Because he was allowed to settle.

Unless we signed 3/4 forwards, I would not want to see Murray go. They would also have to be of good quality or promise, as I believe him to be.

We have nothing at all to lose with Murray, we should stand by players more.

Murray will be important and he will find his form.

Notts are his first club if I recall correctly, after Ipswich I mean and that will take time to see him settle down. If we released him, I am sure he would go onto bigger and better things. Good kid Ronan Murray, he's got his head screwed on and we will see him firing goals for fun soon enough.

This will be his judgement season, if he don't do well he will end up released no doubt but I think he will be fine. if he scores a few, he will find form.

I Think it'd be a good thing to keep a hold of him

If he's given a run of games and a regular strike partner, he could have a lot of fun in this division. On the other hand, he may never live up to the purple patch he had in 2014. It's up to him to make himself undroppable, otherwise it's off to non-league he goes.

He was poor last season no doubt, but who wouldn't be if they don't get more than 2 games in a row and are never given a settled position. Depending on who we sign up front I think he could be an important player for us, I think given the right tactics and team mates he could score bags in League 2. If we sign better players than him then I don't think he will make an impact, cos I feel last season he showed he doesn't really make an impact off the bench. Maybe Moniz's tactics will suit him better?

I think he'll suit much better than Spencer in Moniz's fast flowing and direct style of play. If we can keep him fit and play him regularly then he could be a real aset for us. I hope we build the team around him rather than Spencer tbh given that Moniz sticks to his plan to use a 4-3-3

His partnership worked wonders with Spencer during the great escape.

Derry tactics season 2 didn't suit him at all.

No, Derry didn't know how to use him or where to play him. With us being so lacking in midfield, I think the push to move Murray out wide was a gamble SD felt could work. It clearly didn't but I think Moniz will get him back into form.

We need a sharp Murray next season.
