In support of Stanley

@Super_Danny_AllsoppΒ IΒ just don't think it'sΒ because the manager doesn't 'like' him. The question was asked after yesterday's game so either he will force his way in or the fans will find out of there is an issue or reason he isn't playingΒ

Just listened to Magpie Player pre Accrington talk.... The quality of the questions being asked are so poor! Why didnt he ask Jamie directly...what does Stanley need to do to prove worthy of a place in the team?Β Furthermore, still unclea'r if the team sheet was wrongly printed on Saturday..Jamie's answer implied that Stanley wasn't even on the bench despite being named as a sub on such team sheet

The questions asked probably weren't the best. However, JF doesn't come across well, IMO.Β

@ohstanleyaborahΒ Only questions re Stanley...was he fit and ready for selection for Accrington...answer yes.... Β and then just pure confusion over the teamsheet last Saturday, was he on the bench or not......think Jamie implied that theΒ Β Team Sheet was wrong

They media never ask the questions that the fans want to hear them ask, the closest we got was Colin's interview after the game on Saturday, but even he bottled the Stanley question in the end.

@NewNottsFanΒ Yes, MacKenzie withdrew sick and was replaced by Amevor on the Sub's bench. The point being made was that the final sub was named as Aborah on the team sheet, yet it transpired to be Audel. Maybe Jamie's writing was so bad that when it was being typed up, the person typing it read the name as Aborah rather than Audel?

Stanley was training at Meadow Lane with Mark Cooper according to the Evening Post, funny that once the poison elf has left Stan comes back in, maybe something to do with Richard Dryden as it seems he will be assisting Mark Cooper

I am interested to see how this pans out. Whether or not Stanley is involved with the squad will indicate whether Stanley refused to play, or JF isolated him.

This weekend should answer all the questions. If he is in the squad, we will know that it was JF that did not want him, if he isn't then it will either be the player, or higher up that had the final say. Personally, I think it was the former.

Aborah would be mental to take the same tact with MC as he did with Fullarton as it would out him and he would be showing his hand publicly

Even a fans favourite like Stanley couldn't pull off the trick that two managers didnt 'like' him

If he has half a brain , along with his agent..he would have been straight into MC's office this morning and said how much he wanted to play for Notts and then showed it in training

All the players at the club are needed by Notts at this moment in time and Aborah is no different.....It's just a shame he didnt do this in January.

Still, its a new manager and a new chance for him to get involved and help the club who pays his wages...I hope he takes the opportunity

I think it was probably half a dozen of one, 6 of t'other.

Don't believe that like @NewNottsFanΒ has posted above that it was solely Stanleys fault, but happy to leave it in the past along with Jamie Fullarton.Β

@Super_Danny_Allsopp I agree its time to look forward for the clubs sake and I hope Stanley does his job as part of that.

I was told early on in JF's tenure about this episode and was diasppointed that a player who could have helped JF massively, let him and the fans down.... but its water under the bridge and an opportunity for him to be back where he should have been months ago....on the pitch

I personally am confident SA will now feature and be managed in an appropriate way , I hope to see him play very soon , got quality we have been lacking for sure , not the cure for all ills tho but will be a big influence if selectedΒ

JF quite clearly isolated him on the advice of the mouldy pickle, unfortunately for the aforementioned pickle Mark Cooper won't listen to the odouress comments coming from his mouth.

The quicker the club take pickle back to the shop and ask for a refund the better..

I'm sorry but I cannot fathom how you say he could have helped JF?

Did JF play attacking football that started with quick intelligent passes in the middle of the park or did he play 6 at the back and then just hoof it into the clouds on the vain hope the ball came down heavier than it went hopefully forcing an opposing player into a problem?

He didn't want Stan and it was much easier to make a big hullabaloo over it then just come out and admit that he / nor mouldy pickleΒ wanted the lad.

@Northants Pie Β I'm not entirely sure how I could be any clearer ? Whether you decide to believe me or not ...there was no conversation with Branston...there was no influence from him whatsoever. Stanley Aborah made it perfectly clear in person to JF that he didn't sign forΒ him and that he wasn't interested.

Regardless of what you think (or thought) of JF , he wanted Aborah involved but on day 2 the same player says that? what would you do as a new boss? The manager protected him for weeks despite getting pelters for not playing him

The reason Aborah stayed is because Notts wouldnt cancel his contract AND pay him up in full, including the extension he signed.

This is all incidental now as there is a new boss and I hope Aborah is more professional towards him.

The fans didnt like JF so its very easy to side with Aborah, I understand that ....but to do that to a new manager as soon as you meet him in my view was totally unprofessional...so how could he have helped him? He could have got behind him and said that he was 100%Β ready to play for the club...he decided not to which is a huge shame

JF is gone , I'm saying that I hope Aborah shows the professionalism towards MC that he should have done in JanuaryΒ

Stan wouldn't fit in any team that JF picked even if both sides wanted it as Stan doesn't hoof it into the clouds and give people a stiff neck.

Why did Stan then play for Dryden & Halsall yet chuck his dummy out with JF? Doesn't make any sense.

If you are so certain then you either work for the club or are a relative of JF's either of which would surely colourΒ your point of view somewhat

@Northants Pie this was on day 2 prior to any knowledge of the player, pre conceptions ,Β agendas or even performances for that matter.

nothing is coloured .. Just stating what I was told very early on in JF's reign.

There is a new start .. Hopefully some positivity and hopefully a player who wants to get involved .. JF's unpopularity from an early stage made it very hard to take his side or believe anything other than AborahΒ was right but regardless, JF would not have andΒ did not exclude AborahΒ

like I say .. Time to move onΒ

Told by who though? As you seem certain that what you have been "told" is gospel
