@Modern Fan 1862 👍 Thanks MF...you have made my point quite well for me ...This conversation is about Aborah and what he has or hasn't done ...your opinion of him  , I feel, clouds your judgement on this one

Let me ask you a question then....If Aborah has said he only signed for Moniz and not Notts County and , as such , wasn't interested...would you still want him at your club? Just a yes or no will do ? Not a question about anyone else...just that question? yes you'd want him or no, you wouldn't?

so you're telling me it has took Fullarton 8 games now to come out an say something which he knew 2 days of entering the building ?

Seems very strange that he has left it 8 games that seems extremley odd very odd

You keep repeating this as if it were gospel, yet one glance at Aborah's appearance stats will tell you that Stanley Aborah has been involved with the matchday squad on more than one occasion since Moniz's sacking. So either Fullarton named a sub he knew would refuse to play, or the claim that SA refused to play from day one/two of JF's reign isn't true.

I notice you didnt answer my question MF?

He explained last night why the delay? Why do you choose to ignore that? I suggest its because you dont like him and that's fine...I'm only suggesting that its clouding your judgement on this one.

So I'll ask again ...If Aborah has stated that he isnt interested in Notts as he signed for Moniz and not the club...would you still want him at Notts?

one please prove where abroah has stated he only came for moniz in writing will do where he said this ?

Also people have been tweeting him that and he stated he didn't jus sign for moniz so that's that one

Now second if he didn't wanna play or whatever as you keep telling us all why the hell didn't he say sod this I ain't gonna be on the bench when he was on it seems odd a player who doesn't wanna be here apparently?

Also why would he bother turning up for training or playing in the reserves he doesn't wanna be here Rember if I didn't wanna be in at work why the hell would I turn up like abroah does?

Now if he was doing what mcleod did at Crawley not turning up for training or games or team photos and making a huge scene I'd be more incline to belive you no disrespect to you but until you have proof that my eyes can fully see and read I don't belive you simple as that.

If you end up being right fair enuf il apologise but like I said if the club have emails and so on an such let's seem em so we can all out this to bed they have nothing to worry about they have the proof apparently to everyone's answer

May I answer this?

He's a footballer, one who has stated on record how much he has enjoyed playing here. Some of the sources from off the official site touched upon how he was thankful for having played so much this season, as he's had somewhat a injury hit career. Why would he then throw this down the drain and refuse to play? Who would he sign for? Ricardo Moniz hasn't yet got back into management, so by this he's refusing to play for anyone.

I think it's fair to say, what would happen if he was selected? Would he still refuse to play?

Jamie Fullarton should name him in this weekends game to prove his point, let the fans judge for themselves based on how he plays.

In all seriousness, if it's correct - I would hope Fullarton could manage him and try to clear the air. I find it hard to believe a player would take an attitude towards a manager and refuse to play - as the alligations of Moniz treatment would be no better of Aborah for refusing to work with Fullarton.

If he did his job and played well, in all honesty I wouldn't care if he had refused - provided they move on.

No one has said that Aborah has refused to play, no one ...what was said that Aborah told the club 2 days after the new manager came in that he 'wasnt interested' in being at Notts now Moniz was gone as he signed for him and not the club . If you were a new manager ..is that want you want to hear in any role regardless of whether its football or not?

The thing fans are missing here is that a player is being paid and has told the club and the manager that he isnt interested and yet still picks a wage up ? and to top it off ...people are defending that !! bizarre..

Aborah clearly has a right to reply and I'm sure he will but I'm making the point , as was said earlier, that I think peoples attitude towards JF is clouding their vision on this to the point that they think he is telling lies.

If its proved that he has been protecting Aborah then some should at least give him credit for that and withdraw some of the comments made...If he is lying as some say? well that will be proven very quickly I'm sure and Aborah will be vindicated.

Why a player who had finally found a club where he could play regularly willingly torpedo his own career in that way @NewNottsFan? If he weren't interested, the club had the entire transfer window to get rid, why didn't they? It would have been better for both club and player that way, after all. Why did Fullarton name a player who was apparently uninterested in playing for the club in his matchday squad on two occasions? If Aborah really is on strike he deserves all the criticism he gets, but it just doesn't add up. Players who are on strike don't turn out for the stiffs.

You're automatically believing Fullarton's explanation although it doesn't make an ounce of sense. In all fairness I believe he is now having to try to explain a situation that isn't of his making. This has all the hallmarks of interference from above.

This issue is not resolved. We have two sides, one JF, the other Stanley Aborah. We've (finally) heard what JF has to say, and Aborah has said that he obviously disagrees with what JF has said, but no details.

So it comes down to if you trust what JF says over Aborah? For me, I don't, so the whole issue remains open and unexplained.

Saying you aren't interested is refusing to play ? If I said I didn't want to do my job at work I would be fired, the club are quite able to fine Stanley for behaving badly, if Stanley is being awkward I'm sure they are quite able to terminate his contract aswell seeing as he isn't interest in the club, but neither has happened, you still haven't addressed why JF would put Stan on the bench for his first 2 games if he said he wasn't interested two days in ?

@NewNottsFan Firstly I must say I am always appreciative of your postings. Jamie has done himself no favours and should have been more up front from Day 1 about this whole situation. However the Aborah situation goes much wider and deeper. The sidelining of Genaro and Valencic to me just shows that Jamie has no intention of fielding creative  players that give the opposition something to think about defensively. Hence Jamie fields defensive teams with " Zero" creativity save from his " buddy"  Banton. As a Notts supporter of 49 years, I am disillusioned of Jamie's tactical nous. A choice of who should go, my preference would be the Scot and not the Belgian.

There is probably far more to this then any of us will ever know.

Just face it Jamie Fullarton has not done himself any favours. If the Post are supposed to be reporters, why have they not managed to get this story out sooner? Post match interviews are for games.

Having seen this:

I believe Aborah 100%. JF is poison and we need to get him out of our club ASAP. His rumoured treatment of youth players at Bolton has reared its ugly head at our club.

JF OUT!

Watch aborahs interview, I believe him and he even gets upset, he's not going for an Oscar he is speaking from the heart, JF has really outdone himself

We have to get rid of Fullerton, Stanley seems such a nice bloke and he has always tried his best for us, JF has alienated him and the other foreign players, what a horrible horrible man

The club also have the cheek to come out with a statement saying that Fullerton and Stanley had two interviews, purely defending the vile specimen that is Jamie fullarubbish

Rotten to the core, this club is. I initially thought that scraping those at the top off would solve the issue, but it seems much more embedded than that.

Fullerton has really annoyed me now, and I'm sorry but on Saturday I shall be joining in when people call for his head because Stanley doesn't deserve to be treated that way.

I also feel guy branston may have some part in this as none of moniz mates have played since and many have left, he's an idiot aswell, we need a right good clear out when this new owner comes in, does winter think good managers alienate their best player ?

The online jury appears to have returned its verdict.

Two statements appear and the overall verdict is that Notts County FC and JF are lying to fans and Aborah is the innocent party.

The fans pay their money and keep the club going but I'm saddened at the reaction to this...that said , they choose who they believe and thats up to them

This has been brewing for a while and there are staff members who know the full story here but simply  JF can't win here as its plain that some folk just simply wont believe him regardless.

The club states that it was notified , in writing, after the Crawley game (20th Jan) of Stanleys intention and yet the manager is still telling lies?

If you want one positive then Aborah better play like Lionel Messi if and when he gets back in.....as he has become a better player as the weeks have gone on.

I respect everyones right to an opinion but cant help but feel there would have been a backlash on the manager as soon as the player said a word...and it happened

This response makes you seem not so new to Notts bud.

I doubt we will see Stanley Aborah now, I think it's most likely he will be mutually released. I don't think he even expects to remain here, you don't do something like that without backlash and yes, Jamie can win but it means being open at all times. We expect this from the manager, as HE will expect it from the players. I'm sorry but I don't agree with much of the above - perhaps it's fair to say some fans are quick to form sides, yet the club would have naturally hoped for the same outcome for themselves.

@ohstanleyaborah Could you explain why he is vile?

We heard what he was like before he came and has now alienated Stanley, you still haven't answered my question as to why JF would put Stanley on the bench for his first two games if Stanley asked to leave...

I'm afraid the backlash to this means a point by which he may struggle to come back from... even in the medium term.

JF has tried to protect the player, the situation and the club and is being vilified for it and this shows, to me anyway,  that he can't win.

This is not blind loyalty but an informed opinion and to see the reaction today after Aborah's interview told me everything I needed to see.

I came on here as it is a very balanced forum but there has even been a disproportionate reaction about this issue towards JF.

I will still attend ML on Saturday to see the Bristol Rovers games on Saturday but my time on the forum may be coming to an end (good some will say !! ;o) )

I'm a pretty positive person but the backlash and name calling against a young manager ( and not all of it justified ) has been quite uncomfortable to see..to be called Vile, a Moron, Horrible, a Liar, Nasty when he is trying to move a club forward as a young manager isn't nice to read.

I wholeheartedly disagree that Aborah is not at fault here but respect that people make up their own minds about it all.

Not a great week for Notts but I would request that folk reading this consider why a new manager would exclude a player he sees as, and I quote  'Quality with Ability' ....Please...if nothing else...have a think about that .........

1: Not just the online jury.

2: Which Staff? The only ones that will give any credibility IMO are Steady Eddy and Pilks.

3: 20th Jan is 10 days, not 2 as stated by JF. Aborah already said he asked to leave after a couple of games because the manager isolated him and made it clear he wouldn't be starting.

4: Aborah is a good player, probably our player of the season so far. You don't go from that to training with the youth team.

5: It happened because of more than that reason. For one, his tactics are negative and boring, to say the least. His interviews are terrible, he is disrespectful, arrogant and condescending. He has a reputation (you say it's rumours) of bad relations with previous players he has 'coached', and within a few weeks he has done exactly that with a player at Notts.
