What are your hopes for this upcoming season?

What are your hopes so far for this upcoming season? Are your feelings and thoughts likely to change at all with regards to future additions coming into the Notts squad? Where should John Sheridan be aiming for realistically?

I just hope we have a good season and are able to put aside the failing of the past three years, it would be nice if we could remain as a group but appreciate those who don't exactly sing of the same hymn sheet because we all see things differently - but yeah, I just want to see us give every game 100% no matter what the outcome.

Signings aren't likely to change this, as I think realistically require more than just players but there's no reason why we can't be at the top end of League Two this year.

John Sheridan should be aiming for the play-offs, I'm unsure if we could build a squad capable of running a way with the league without him getting to grips with things which naturally take time. Obviously I expect him to speak of promotion but I hope he just focuses on building a solid team that can give every team in this division a game.

What about you?

I want to see Notts give all the teams a run for their money and provided we have learned from last season I will be happy.

We need to be pushing for promotion at all costs.

My first hopes are that Notts find a way of Finance to pay season tickets I buy 5 every year for the last 3 years and simply cannot afford them out right hope they sort

and can watch us gain promotion

@Adam_James I have to agree, and I shared the disappointment of having to use money saved for my holiday in order to purchase the season ticket. Quite a few fans have mentioned to me that they can't afford it and I've noticed others add their thoughts via social media - @stewartpot.

Welcome to PON Adam.

on the field i would like to feel confident that we can win any side, if we do i am not so bothered about but i want us to fight and care. not the same notts we have seen the past few seasons.

Hope for much better than last season and feel that we will get that , a steady and progressive season where we improve as we go , hope the squad is improved more it needs to be , then with a fully united NCFC on and of the field I hope for a top 7 finish, COYP

Hope for a lot better season than the last two, and some players that know how to score goals and defend the goal too. Also hope for better progression in the Cup competitions, and maybe a trip to Wembley next May!

Nothing too demanding, just a team that takes a bit of pride in wearing the shirt.  It would also be nice to finish the season with the same manager we started with.

Like stated above by @Elite_pie, just pride and a never die attitude will do me just fine.

I'd love to see us go up but I would be more than happy getting into the play-offs but like above I just want to see 11 men out on the field with pride and passion and a desire to do well and work hard for the club

realistically Doncaster are going to be promoted for me spent big good players but in Sheridan there is a manager who knows this league inside out.

Also has got teams out this league I imagine he's got a big budget for this league I would expect play off push at least sick of aiming at mid table safety.

I think top 7 is very realistic also I hope we get rid of some of the luxury ideal players such as Burke McLeod de silva don't rate Campbell at all either.

Bring in two young strikers with pace and hunger not two 30+ with no hunger or desire.

And a trip to wemberly will do if we can't get 3rd but play offs has to be minimum for me sorry we can't keep spending decent and finishing bottom half.

Thats my expectations tho before someone shoots it down I jus feel we have a manager who has a good track record now and can get the best people for the job

I'd like to see a return of the Notts passion, which was sadly lacking last season, but I also want to see the passion coupled with some skill on the field, as Derry's sides proved that passion alone is not enough.

I'm not concerned too much about getting promoted this season as I think that we have too many players that we won't be able to move on and this will handicap JS with his squad, so I would be very happy with a top 10 finish.

Finally, I would like some stability and I hope we can finish the season will all the same staff that started it, which will lay the foundation for a promotion push next season.

A passionate, well-organised team with a proper spine and leadership on and off the pitch. Ideally in the top three, but realistically a challenge for the play-offs would do. Notts to win the FA Cup, or at least to draw F*rest in a cup competition and beat them. To keep our manager for the whole season. And please, for the love of God, no white shorts.

I hope that John Sheridan inspires confidence, and the players do their utmost for Notts.

That no visitors get an easy game at Meadow Lane.

Notts fans that have stayed away the last few seasons will be inspired by the team's performances to return and watch games.

Attendances and performances mean that the Magpies deserve to play the BiancoNere next pre-season.

As @Fozzy says passion and skill please! Which should mean entertainment for @ivansneck and everyone else.

CoYP!
