Kane Hemmings arrives

And number four for the week has landed at the Lane.

Good looking forward line for this division imo. Keeps Stead as an impact sub when the game needs a new approach, but I don't expect him to start now. Which is probably for the best if we are intending on pace and zippy football to kill teams off.

These are excellent signings, the sort we'd be very envious about if they were happening elsewhere. It remains to be seen what the best partnership is though, Stead could be a handy foil for either of them.

We're not finished there yet either, we now have three strikers to choose from. So ideally we need one more for genuine competition for places (something we lacked at times last season).

The way the clubs going about their recruitment, it should attract further more quality signings as the squad is looking like one which can compete for promotion automatically. Kane Hemmings is a fantastic signing, his record at this level is very respectable and we should be pushing forward next season.

I'm over the moon that we now have two strikers that offer us a lot upfront.

Fingers crossed we won't be hoofing it. :D

This is the first season for a long time that we have got good signings early we are normally hearing rumours of this player or that player, only to see them go to another club and we move to the next target and so on until we end up with the dregs no one else wants. This year we’ve got in early and actually paid out money to sign excellent players, it looks like Hardy is going for it big time.

We just have to spend wisely, Mansfield created a great team on paper and looked very strong - I mentioned this numerous times to @Dan.

Yet they signed too many players and struggled with consistency, if they gelled better in the opening part of the season they would have most likely finished above us. Also the departure of Evans really did show how things could burst.

I am hopeful we can avoid this and even build a squad that can survive if Nolan is tempted away from us.

Kane Hemmings for me is the best of the signings so far.

He's a dangerous player and can change games by himself, he's a more direct player than Kristian Dennis who for me is a more natural striker. The old number nine style that has been missing at the club since Le Hughes left.

I am looking forward to seeing him run at players! Oh and further upset those mardy Mansfield fans!

Dennis and Hemmings ????

Perfect partnership I hope, it's been awhile since Notts have had two capable strikers on their books when it comes to scoring goals.

great signing!

with hemmings and dennis we have a totally different dynamic upfront and i think we should be able to finish some of the chances we lacked that deadly finishing last season which would kill off games. there should be plenty of creativity behind them, so we will see. very pleased with this arrival!
