I had hoped for a winger, I really hope we don't jam the centre of the park too much.

Having the right amount can create competition but too many, well for me it leads to inconsistency and other awkward issues such as players being unhappy that they don't feature. I also can't see how Liam Noble will fit in, unless we push him out onto the wing?

Hopefully Will Patching will prove himself here with us.

A field where dreams become reality.

This signing would further push back the academy players, and I wonder how Nolan will manage to get them all time to develop properly?

I suspect young players are keen to sign with a club that offers them a chance to start their career, so maybe he will be on a smaller wage but I don't like the thought of carrying players.

Hope he comes good here.

Interesting prospect on paper.

It's good to see the club looking at players released from the Premier League clubs, yet also one's from lower down like Tom Crawford. I would think we don't need any more players there now, so hopefully we can strengthen the defence up more.

Good luck to Will Patching, I am sure he will help form some mames and puns along the way.

I just finished watching his first interview here at Meadow Lane myself, he looks a little nervous which is natural but I do find some of things he said to be interested. Mostly that he's a set piece taker and likes to score goals, yet since he said he can play as a holding midfielder - I suppose this is where he may find himself the most.

I reserve judgement until he plays but Yates came here at 19, Patching has featured a few times for England and this should say he has something about him. It's important I feel to get behind any new signing.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

I have nothing against quality signings even if the position isn't really vacant, yet I don't think we require any more within this position now. Too many cooks spoil the broth, and all that.

There is room for good cover if any suspensions or injuries occur which is a good thing.

I would like to see him perform but I think that he must be a good player if Man City spent so long training him.

The question is how quickly can he adapt to the toughness of League Two? and, will he be a Yates or Virtue type player?

he will have to work hard and impress kn to get into the team, i am not so sure we can make a big deal about him playing a few times for the under whatever england sides but it does show he has something extra about him.

welcome to meadow lane will patching.
