Possible CB: Lewin Nyatanga

Lewin Nyatanga is 29 years old who is currently a free agent. He only stepped into League One a few times so is classed as a well established Championship player in my opinion. Is he worth looking at? He is 6ft 2 and could be ideal along side Brisely. I think for free he is a brilliant player and could be a real leader which we are now lacking in our squad. Let me know your thoughts PON members.

He played for Derby County right?

I think he's an alright defender, at this level I would certainly snap him up and offer him a 3-year-deal because I feel he would be the commanding defender that Notts needs right now.

Rams academy product-6ft 2in,30 in August.Promoted with Rams and played 63 times. No idea what he's like now but could be worth a punt at League 2

6ft 2 and nearly 30 is fine for a defender, I would take a gamble on him because of his experience. Why did he leave Derby County @super_ram? His career seems to have gone off the rails a little.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

Hope this helps @CliftonMagpie

It sounds like he can earn more money outside of football and that he is happier having more free time with his family, so I would imagine he wouldn't make a return to football.

For this reason I would say no.

Not sure if he has signed a new contract at Yeovil but Omar Sowunmi has been impressive against Notts

i dont know if playing did not effect his business outside of football, he may return to have one last go. i would say hes got unfinished business and he could achieve it even at 30, if hes a good defender all it takes is the right club for someone else higher up to show interest.

kn may be able to tempt him back and i think he would make a good addition to the squad.

Good player at Derby but he never settled after moving a way from them.

It seems unlikely that he would even be on our radar and with Michael O'Connor leaving, I feel like Kevin Nolan won't look to replace Richard Duffy.

Oh okay, this does make it seem like he has moved on.

Thanks Super for sharing.

If he wanted to make a return to football, I do think Notts would be a good option for him but it seems from the Wales Online article that he's focusing on life after being a professional footballer.
