Arrogance and stubborness

It's time Nolan and Hardy put their hands up and say "I've messed up"

Nolan has got to pull his finger out when it comes to the team. Stop picking his favourites. There is something clearly disastrously wrong with the defence and Brisley and Duffy cannot play together anymore. He has got to see that Dan Jones cannot defend and that we have no fight in midfield whatsoever. He needs to see that we need an experienced keeper.Β  He has got to look into the transfer market otherwise he'll be looking on Indeed for another job. If he can't see this team needs signings then I have no idea what he sees. When he stopped being stubborn last season and played Jonny Forte, we won 3 games in a row. What a surprise

Hardy. I am truly grateful for what he has done. The money invested and how he has turned the club around. But at the minute he's like a child who's spat out his dummy. His constant Twitter arguments are doing nothing good for us. He should be on their to update us on stuff happening at the club (transfers, opportunities etc), not arguing with fans.

Could not agree more @ARLukomski. I love KN and i believe he is the right man for the job but hes got to face reality that some of his players just are not good enough for his new style of football. The next game against Lincoln for example, what is the harm in putting Bird at the back and Crawford in midfield starting? Nothing. Then we as fans get to see as well as KN if he has got the tools to do the job or if emergency loans are required. He needs to face reality but i feel as though the money has dried up and we've spent up. Seen that Lincoln have signed Sam Slocombe today who is a GK with plenty of experience, another one gone as a result of poor recruitment.

Hardy is way too involved with twitter than he should be. Instead of messing around congratulating forest fans and how Nottingham is a united city. How about get your head down sunshine and think of a plan A,B,C and D. At the moment I don't think alarm bells are ringing for him and he's quite happy meeting up with KN and DF for a coffee every now and again to discuss the future journey of the club. Frustrates me how he reacts and bites to forest fans taking the mic when he could be updating his own fans on what the plan is and tease any new signings that can get us out this mess.

I'm stating facts Mark. It's to help pull us up the league. It's not the fans fault we're in this situation. And no I want the best for the club as well. All KN has to do is sign some players on loan than I think we will pick up. And just because I've posted this doesn't mean, I don't get behind the team

And facts also satats this is the first road block for Alan and Kevin bruv that’s fact. In the last 20 years we he have sacked every manager at the first sign of trouble that’s fact ..another fact is that 11 new players with 2/3 being injured and not playing won’t help..Β

I will give him the loan window to make additions. That's the sign of a good manager. When things go wrong, they change it. However, the facts are when players aren't playing well, you change it. Or change the formation to suit certain players, like Vaughan

That is a bit strong bloody hell. Hes entitled to an opinion. He pays for his season ticket and buys kits etc. I think hes ok to say whatever he likes to be honest with you.Β

Im deffo Nolan IN @Magic magpieΒ but I certainly agree with @ARLukomskiΒ 's comments about how we can change. I don't think there is a manager out there at the moment that can come in and make an impact straight away by then other teams have stormed off.Β  However the tactics and the attitude behind social media has to change. If we do not recruit anymore players then backroom staff has to change in terms of bringing in a defending coach or something. I think the squad misses Mike Edwards a lot.

I have been Nolan out on Twitter but I understand he needs time and he needs to bring players in. I just want Kevin to be more honest and when things aren't going right, he needs to change the team or at least bring in some players to help. If he became more honest and stopped the arrogance and stubborness, then it would give the whole place a lift and we can move forward. That's wanting the best for the club. I'm not even pulling the team apart . I get behind the team and just because I have an opinion on what should happen, doesn't mean I should stop supporting

Hes allowed to share his opinion if he wishes too. He has said what he said becuase he wants the best for the club. Whether you are Nolan out or Nolan in we all want Notts to do well. PON is a forum to share opinions unless they are offensive.

I’m not saying he can’t have is say but Nolan out is getting out of handΒ

Kevin Nolan needs to be the Nolan of old the Nolan we grew up watching. No nonsense, I agree that he needs to pull his finger out and stop picking favourites who week in week out don't perform very well. Which is at least 4 players. Maybe even change the way we play. I know we all want to see nice football but if it doesn't suit us or even makes us get called boring, as long as the results there who cares. Hardy should definitely invest in loan signings that we desperately need.Β

I think Saturday will be the turning point

Some people really do live in fantasy football land .... so all of a sudden we need a new back 4, a goalkeeper and a midfielder! Do we assume these players will come at the wave of a magic wand? How much do the sort of players we are talking cost to recruit & maintain ?

For Christ’s sake we are Notts. County. We have an owner who has put his hand in his pocket both to save the club last year and sign players in the summer to try and push us on to some success. The manager was being hailed as some sort of messiah this time last year, butΒ all of a sudden he’s clueless!

we are 4 games into a new season with 8 new potential first team squad playersΒ of which 4 have been injured during pre season.

Yes of course we are all frustrated, even angry at the poor performances so far but let’s get a grip, get behind the team, get behind the people that gave us so much hope last season. If weΒ support the club in a time of turmoil as well as we do when things are going well we will get out of this mess andΒ reap the benefits in the end !

What KN shouldn't do is come out and say he got it wrong with the squad, even if it's true. The last thing he wants to do now is berate the players we have in public. Behind the scenes is probably a very different matter ;)

I would definitely have made changes to the team, but I can see the logic to what KN was doing - he was hoping to see a reaction. Unfortunately that doesn't help the fundamental problem that the only ball winner we had in the team was picked at right-back AGAIN, where he had a nightmare AGAIN. Hopefully that's the last time he does it.

Agree entirely. Publicly he has to keep the group together. Privately he needs to try the whole gambit from hairdryer treatment to arms round shoulders to get the team level again.

What he must do though is change the defence. Picking Duffy week in and out is doing serious damage. We need Ben Hall fit and play with a new solid centre back, new keeper, and a short term loan left back until Kellet can cover there. Jones is out of his depth defending when needed. Fine left mid, not so fine defending.

Fair point @Truefootballfan. It's worth point out that we achieved a remarkable turnaround in the first months under Kevin Nolan with much the sameΒ personnel.

Duffy and Brisley have been extremely poor so far, but with the powder-puff midfield in front of them and the inexperienced keeper behind them I'd be a bag of nerves too. We need someone who can compete in the middle and cover for the full backs too, but we can go a long way by making the most out of what we've ot, which we haven't so far.

I don't think Alan Hardy is much to blame, he's backed Kevin Nolan and although at times he appears arrogant on Twitter. I don't think this a bad thing, he's a businessman and he has confidence.

On the other side Nolan can be very arrogant and stubborn.

He's not won anything yet but he acts like it, don't get me wrong I like KN but he needs to quit thinking he's always right and put the club first. Insisting on playing out of form players like Elliot Hewitt and Richard Duffy is just beyond me. These two are bringing the likes of Shaun Brisley down, it's time that change is forced onto the squad in order to move forward but I fear Nolan's arrogance will mean this won't happen.

Sorry, but in such a big game this could destroy the lads confidence. We need to find a way to get more men in midfield, so probably need to switch to a 433, or 352.

I’ve never been a massive fan of Hardy’s as I just think the bloke is a bit of a kn**, but his Twitter antics are hitting a new low recently.
