Incoming players maybe today

I don't know about Jame Turley, he seems a bit of an unknown to me but Cedric Evina looks a very good addition to the squad. Hopefully this means Rob Milsom can play further up, as this where I feel he's better.

Him and David Vaughan could do well.

Both look physical enough and like they can handle League Two football, I hope they can offer more protection to Fitzsimons as if the goals keep getting conceded he will be next to be replaced.

I am happy with the signings.

i am worried about the keepers position, i want fitzsimons to do well but i dont think hes taken this opportunity and he dont convince me that he is capable of being a keeper who can turn his performances a round when it matters.

im pleased with both signings, as they should offer both height and that physical aggression the club lacks in defence right now.

The CB especially looks a solid chap hopefully he can use his strength to good use and offer Fitz some much needed protection @liampie , might be what he needs , hope he turns his form around .

Good squad additions, I wouldn't want to see any more signings due to the mismatched group we have. Kewell needs to settle these into their roles and get the defence greatly improved. I am also happy with the new recruits.

Solid signings on paper but how will they fit into the squad?

My main worry is that we are trying to force a change within the defence rather than finding the real solution to the problem. We know that the players Kevin Nolan signed are good enough, most did well during the last campaign but we seem to be throwing other players into the same issue.

Elliott Ward looked like a strong addition but his debut ended with giving a penalty away and I hear he wasn't that good in the last game against Exeter.

It makes you wonder but I am pleased with the signings, I just want to see signs of improvement.

I'm hoping for a keeper to come in but I think it's unlikely, the manager seems to be fine with Ross Fitzsimons but personally I see no backup/replacement existing in the squad.

Are these panic signings? Criminal that we didn’t sign a left-back to compete with Jones at the start of the season (I’m not buying Kellet as a left back) and get another experienced centre back to compete with Duffers & Brisley.

Jamie Turley by all accounts was very good in non-league and was signed by Feeney for Newport. He suffered a knee injury which required him to have an operation. He didn’t play a league game for them again and spent last season on loan at Boreham Wood where he helped them finish in the play-offs.

Cedric Evina effectively lost his place in the first team to a 21 year old at Crawley at the back end of last season. Strange one, he seems to always impress clubs in spells but has been released from his last two. Kewell didn’t sign him for Crawley in the summer even though he was available, I wonder why?

I’ll reserve judgement until they’ve played a few games for us, I agree that we need a keeper though. And so much for quality over quantity ay?! Is that 7 centre backs we have now? JAYSUS!

Cedric Evina is supposedly a left back.

Others have wanted Rob Milsom to play there but I don't think it's his strongest position.

Notts needed a keeper. ????‍♂️

He has covered this in his post match interview.

Something about budget and others not wanting him.
