What methods should notts use when recruiting for next season.?

So what way or method should Notts use to build/recruit a squad for next season.

Should we buy players?

Trust in the youth system?

Should we do trials to recruit?

What about experienced players?

Do loan deals?

What are people’s thoughts on this Would love to know What people’s thoughts on this are.

Avoid trials, if a player needs to impress over a period of time then they're most likely rubbish. Fans moan about players earning contracts and then doing nothing, this is what trials are exactly.

Notts should buy in experience and quality, only sign a few youngsters who show good promise.

There is nothing wrong with using all of them, buy the best players you can on frees and loan in where the quality can't be found from free agents. Top up with young quality, so you can bring them through and make things easier for next season.

I think we should do all of the above except trials a player can have a good game or a good few days we need to scout for longer to get the right team. Use youth and maturity for a balanced squad. Buying for the right price is a must as well no point over paying for a player. Loan deals as well need to kept to a minimum because if we have a squad of loan players again from next season we building rather than bolstering the squad.

If the club uses the loan market, they need to ensure its quality and something different coming in. These types of signings must be a top up and fill the gaps which the other markets can't be improved.

Players on the way up, players with a point to prove. We should be shopping at Chester, Halifax etc. for players with plenty of games at this level but who are young, hungry and motivated. We should avoid players who just want a last payday at all costs.

Alternatively, if the powers that be don't get a shuffle on with the takeover, we bundle young men into the back of a van until we've got enough to make up a team.
