sounds like his partner/wife was cheating, i can imagine its a bitter pill to swallow that will only get worse. we dont know the fully story but i am always saddened to read things like this. he should place a hand on a women. its not the example to show his kid.

Daft thing all round but I do think @liampie makes a point, sometimes people get pushed to their limits and this doesn't make it right - yet we need to understand that things happen sometimes. I think his career in football won't revive after this, he'll remain a Non-League footballer earning semi pro wages.

I'd be surprised if he returned to the FL at any point.

Erm, plenty of us have been cheated on (and that's just conjecture anyway) and managed not to assault anyone. And you don't give someone a fractured cheekbone by accident. 

Hope he sorts himself out.
