  1. It would be an absolute hammer blow and we would have to revise our expectations downwards if true. I'm hoping it's just gossip and nothing more. I could imagine Cameron stepping into midfield, but that would leave us thin at the back. When is Bostock coming back?

  2. I remember the Football Post very well, originally it was pink and a broadsheet rather than tabloid if I remember right, I would leave the ground after the match and by the time I’d walked into town the Football Post was on sale. Sorcery indeed.

  3. I am sorry, since returning from my family break I haven't had much free time. The last two days, I have worked relentlessly towards further optimisation of the site. Including further theme work, I have managed to make good progress, but this sort of thing is very time-consuming for me. The plus point is that good progress has been made, with the hope of further improvements from working with developers. In the grand scheme of things, this is vital because the better increases the smoother things will be Keep pushing forward. Satisfied guests transform into excellent members.

  4. Someone posted this anonymously in the PON Facebook group, it caused quite a stir. I don't know, people do tend to say things they hear via the grapevine and interpret it as the truth. I will try to speak with Matt directly, although I will add I won't be spreading misinformation or anything from what he might say. I am sure David Jackson or whoever handles the BBC's post-match questions will put this forward. We don't have a weak squad, I don't think it is as worrying as people are suggesting. It's natural to overthink things, whilst it will be difficult if Matt Palmer is injured. We have the ability to navigate through it, it will take people to step up and for us to continue to give our fullest support. I understand that worry does tend to take over, as of course we have had years of disappointment but look, usually losing games would see us plummeting down the league table. We win, hit a few snags and so far haven't lost a lot of ground. Why should we worry about unknowns? Let's show some strength and determination.

  5. That sounds like very bad news @Fozzy. In that case, the lack of news is probably due to uncertainty about the outcome of his operation. Hope he has a speedy recovery. Hoopefully Bostock will be back for the Crewe game at least. Apparently Crowley has also played in that position in the past. Of course we've got Jimbo, but he rarely plays for 90 minutes nowadays.

  6. Apparently for the Crewe game. The Pizza Cup could be an issue as we have to play so many 1st team players.

  7. I was there that day... in the home end! The stands emptied after we scored (both times if I recall). The first time nobody noticed that me, dad and mum hadn't moved, the second time we were well and truly spotted. Luckily dad always looked about 70 so after a few insults they left us alone. I have never felt so scared...even when I lost it in the home end at Birmingham City in 1989 / 90 when we scored a last minute winner wasn't as bad. To be fair they saw the funny side of it,,, something the Chelsea fans could never have been accused of.

  8. I certainly hope that he’s not out for the rest of the season that would be a devastating blow if true.

  9. Surely a story for a potential Christmas 2024 movie @Dry Nelson Ray ?

  10. On Saturday Notts are at home to Crawley in the first round of the FA Cup, how many links can we find between the two clubs? My offering is Enzio Boldwijn who joined Notts from Crawley in 2018 and made 112 appearances scoring 19 goals.

  13. I hope not, are there options for emergency transfers / loans given that we may start to run out of players? Also, the above twit only says he injured, is the 'rest of the season' part somewhere else?

  15. Right player at the wrong time. I would happily have him back, especially in this system under the guidance of Luke Williams. Technically astute, can pick a pass. We weren't stable enough at the time we signed him, to be able to help him achieve his potential. We are in a much better place now as a club, and as for Will, he's improved as a player too

  17. It’s all top-notch work, and while it might fly under the radar for some, I reckon the changes are spot on. They really make a difference, particularly on mobiles. The smoother the navigation, the better our experience as users. Good job!

  18. I’ve remembered where I saw it, on some obscure tv channel there was a programme called Weird World War and one of the programmes featured Wojtek. I found this video.

  19. I’m sure I’ve read about this before or seen a tv programme, I can’t remember but it’s a fascinating story.

  20. The changes are nice, very attractive and useful. I’m a fan of the mobile themes; they’re the best for navigating such a site. I’ve noticed that all EFL sites now have bottom navigation, which seems to be a trend, but PON’s is by far the best implemented.

  21. It’s great that the changes have enhanced the menu, providing more functionality for site navigation. The introduction of mobile navigation was a positive step, and it seems to have been adopted elsewhere. The top navigation remaining on screen is a pleasant feature, as is the modification to the community section.

  22. It’s indeed beneficial to be aware of the menu and activity streams. I’ll certainly utilise them during my site visits. The ‘all content’ activity stream is a particularly nice feature.

  23. It’s a great idea to make PoN easy to navigate, especially for newcomers who might not be familiar with forums.

  24. Now now @Piethagoram, we both follow the source of this on Twitter so can be pretty certain it isn’t a rumour. He needs an Op and may be out for the rest of the season so can take it as a given that we won’t be seeing him again for a substantial period of time. I thought it looked bad at the time the way he pulled up, but did not expect this news as it is pretty devastating. I think we have around 11 league games until the January window opens, so would expect us to fall off the leaders a bit until then unless we change formation.
