I'd be surprised if Cameron was allowed to play to be honest, I've no idea what the rules are but I can't see why we'd want to potentially cause ourselves a bit of a nightmare. Like @Fan of Big Tone says imagine if he plays, does well and even scores it'll have seriously backfired for us and he's technically our player so he should only be benefiting us really. I do think given the little run of games we've got coming up where we'll play 4 teams in the top 10 (Wimbledon, Grimsby, Chesterfield, Crewe) a win here is much needed as I'm fully prepared for us to drop points after it. I agree with @Robbie too I think it's time to give Traore a start here, I think him and Whitaker in behind Jatta will cause all sorts of problems for Barrow. Maybe a touch to early for Jodi and Macari to start though, but I'll be pleased if either of them do.3 points

budget and the squad is two things, and is not always equal to the success but i do think that a lot of fans do have unhealthy or unrealistic expectations. some of it seems right considering the squad we have, other bits makes me unhappy with how some make themselves seem like notts have earned promotion without playing a single game. i think notts should stick with stuart maynard, provided we are moving in the right direction. he can learn a lot and the only thing which would make me reconsider is if we were to plummet and show no signs of being a good team. i do think the football is much better under maynard, he has struggled with injuries and tactical decisions of his own but at this level hes perfectly fine. sacking maynard without proper reason could undo what he and previous managers have done. if we dont get promoted, fine. if we end up in the playoffs it can be a lottery and i think we have seen under the reedtz that the club continues to move forward.3 points

Lifeline from the beginning for me.... they seem to have lost my number!!! Surely there should be a draw amongst members to attend a match sponsorship?3 points

I often wonder when Lifeline sponsors a #Notts match at The San Sirrel, who gets to go to represent Lifeline?3 points
-
I’ve never been a member of any of the supporter groups apart from the trust when they took over the club. I’m also a lifeline member but apart from that I’ve never been interested in joining anything else, as with all these things it probably sometimes attracts the wrong type of person and ends up with internal bickering. I just want to pay my money, go to a match, watch the game and support the team, not get involved in internal politics. No offence to anyone who does like to get involved it’s just not for me.3 points

Isn't there already a 10-second rule? The newer dark arts, such as keepers going to ground without reason and physios masking their hands when talking to the player, are something that needs to be addressed. For the safety of goalkeepers, I believe that if they go down more than once and hold up play multiple times, then they should be forced to be substituted. If we are taking player safety seriously, and want to cut out time-wasting, then this is an area that must be sorted. It would virtually prevent it, along with masking your comments should they be deemed unsportsmanlike. "Stay down, lad, we can keep the momentum off if you just take your time." What's the purpose of the action, otherwise, if it wasn't to give this sort of nonsense across?3 points

maybe he found something that worked well enough to get crawley town promotion once, but does not have the ability to do it the same? he might not be a bad coach, but he might not be good enough to sort mk dons into a team that wins games. they have good players, so it could be that he works best with less talented or ones who are more able to be encouraged his way? i dont think hes the best coach, but by far the worst. just an average league two manager imo.2 points

are they still in trouble with their owners? italian owned? not investing into the club? i know they seemed to do a fair bit of business at the start of this season but i have lost track of where they are in terms of financial issues.2 points

even if george abbott does not make it with spurs, i think he will attract interest and still end up as a very good premier league player even if he has to play in the championship for some time. hes a class player, and i hope his time here helps him to establish himself in the tottenham team.2 points

i have not watched it, i dont watch a lot of tv. usually its just the dramas and documentaries that interest me. i know the show, but i dont like the host.2 points

i think it could be a good thing but it depends how serious notts are about it and if they can get the right people to take the seats. i think there are more reasons why this can fail, than there are to succeed. if the club find the right person to lead the meetings and it actually focuses on notts, us fans and does not become about what those groups involved can get or the benefits of being close to the club it could be good for notts. i am just of the mindset that most will want something and not all give up their time just to be useful. some will, most probably not.2 points

I can't believe Scott Lindsey has become a bad coach overnight. I wonder if the MK Don's dressing room is harmonious following Dan's arrival. Tune in for the latest ....2 points
-
@Chris I agree & the sacking of managers at such a high rate is becoming a worrying trend in football. I wonder if managerial contracts reflect this increasing trend with better compensation if the manager is sacked. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if agents were pushing for more lucrative contracts for their clients.2 points

MK Managerless is a laughingstock of a team. Why does their owner believe throwing money at managers and players is the way to build a team? They should have stuck with Scott Lindsey a bit longer, but I did say appointing him based on the success of Crawley Town seemed weird. I wonder if they plan to make an approach to Carlisle United and hire Mark Hughes? Whoever comes in must be given the full season. All this axing managers and signing players is causing them deep-rooted problems.2 points

I have met the chair of the Trust. I think he mentioned there were a few on it in one past meeting, but nobody ever took his second seat. This is true, I was asked to do the interview, and my sister-in-law and brother took me down to Meadow Lane. Only to be told by Iris that the Trust wanted to conduct the interview, and that it was considered more important. Perhaps, if the Trust was actually known to fans, it might be right. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name, but I have seen him in Nottingham and a few times at home games. The interview was in relation to the news of Alan Hardy suddenly putting the club up for sale, and the concerns about the debt that was being reported at the time.2 points

Poor Dan. There are players that make bad moves then there are players that make very bad moves.2 points

Dan Crowley to become the club's saviour by being a player-manager? It guarantees his name on the team sheet, and he can't do much worse.2 points

Surely the goalkeeper will just drop the ball and then pick it up multiple times before clearing the ball.2 points

I think the club should have thought about the relevance before proceeding with this news, making sure fans knew who was who. Not everyone involves themselves with supporter groups or trusts. It's something I have never done; I don't feel the need to be in one. The purpose of supporter clubs is quite dated now, and without prejudice, none of them represent me. I do hope it helps to bridge the trouble caused by former owners, but the club shouldn't just hand anyone importance without earning it. I also don't know who the current SLOs are, and I don't think the fan-elected SLO was ever publicly let go. So what happened there, I do not know. But surely another election should have been conducted?2 points

After Alan Hardy put the club up for sale, BBC News did a segment where Iris Smith from the Supporters Club spoke on camera. They also spoke with a scruffy man in a suit reportedly from The Trust. I don't want to sound personal when I say scruffy, but his hair was a mess, and he looked as if he sleeps in his suit. He didn't say much of interest, and I don't think his opinion is relevant to the general fan. I am sure he's a nice person, but aside from his scruffy appearance, he did not seem to know a lot about Notts, at least about what was going on right now.2 points

As a general comment, 25th March will be my 58th anniversary of my first #Notts game. The club under the Reedtz has in general, been exceptionally run. Investment in many off field things, which many previous chairmen were reluctant to do. What would be your "go to" items that need to be addressed?2 points
-
I believe Glenn Rolley who was "Chair" of the Supporters Trust passed away in 2012. I am sure I paid a "lifetime" subscription to be a member. With reference to @ARLukomski good post above, perhaps the best way is to have a gateway, say through the existing Supporters Liaison Officers, that any Notts supporters can put their ideas in writing and for the SLO to collate such information. It could then be aired at a fans forum, with a chance to respond by those present, or by letter / email for those that cant attend?2 points

Do we still actually have a Supporters Trust and if we do, who is actually still a part of it? Plus, anybody who is appointed from the subsequent parties must, in my opinion, go home and away and have a genuine idea of what we want and need as a fanbase. My concern is the people who will represent the first Supporters Committee will include members who don't speak for the wider fanbase. There is a lot of division within the fanbase as it is and the last thing we need is members of supporter groups only speaking for themselves and their own particular interests, rather than the wider interests of the entire fanbase.2 points

Stunning pictures, thanks @Piethagoram Scotland is indeed a beautiful place I just wish good weather could be guaranteed, my favourite memory of Scotland is a fantastic holiday I had when I was around 18 with my parents we stayed in a bed and breakfast on the shores of the Firth of Clyde, I spent a lot of time fishing for mackerel from a rowing boat. We also had a cruise on the paddle steamer Waverley around the Kyles of Bute, the weather was idyllic, I’d love to recreate that holiday one day.2 points

Kieran Maguire on @TheMagpieCircle podcast pointed out that supporters expectations don't necessarily align with reality. Take budgets for example, Notts seemingly have a middling budget, meaning probably 7 clubs at least have larger playing budgets. The key is the Reedtz Bros look to outperform the budget. Kieran, likened Notts to Brighton, it's a slow build...but supporters can take faith in, that Notts are building.2 points

I don’t see why the Reedtz family would want to part ways with Stuart Maynard. Although I was critical of him after the Salford game, I believe the team showed great determination, they have his support, and Maynard really stepped up. For me, it’s important to see him learning and, despite some disappointing performances, he is doing a good job. Given that his assistant and senior coach left during the season, I think he managed to stay focused on what mattered and has not shied away from his responsibilities at the club. He has my support, and I can admit when I’m wrong. However, I believe that securing a playoff spot is crucial for many fans. This team is good enough for promotion, but we have quite a few injury-prone players, and many of them provide the quality and creativity needed in tough situations. I hope he gets more time to prove himself, but I also think it’s important to bring in more quality players, especially in key areas like the striker's department.2 points

How will the existing Supporters Liaison Officer set up dovetail with this new committee, or will this position be disbanded?1 point
-
I think the Reedtz brothers will stick by Maynard whether Notts are promoted or not. If Notts maintain reasonable form right up untill the end. Notts have been very unfortunate with having so many injuries this season & if Notts don't achieve promotion they won't hold that failure against him. The only caveat to that would be maintaining good & reasonable form right up until the end. If Notts falter & finish up mid table without even achieving a play off place things could be different for him. A mid table finish wouldn't be regarded as progress from last season. Update till now, there has been a marked progress.1 point

Great little interview this, well done to the lads on Notts County Talk for getting him on, it was a very enjoyable listen. Glad to hear how settled he feels here, we know how important that can be in football so I hope that might put Spurs off from potentially recalling him to send him to a higher league...1 point
