Good morning the weekend is here, what plans has everyone got? Who’s going to watch Notts? Who’s seeing relatives? Whose relaxing? Let us know what you are doing or have been doing. It’s an exciting weekend for me as we are going on holiday (yes again!) tomorrow we are travelling down to Southampton to stay in a hotel, then Sunday we a boarding a cruise around the Mediterranean for two weeks. I will try to get on here whilst in port but on sea days I won’t have a signal. What are you planning this weekend?

This place is one of two places you can have a sensible conversation about Notts, the other is the Notts County mailing list but sadly that’s not very active now. I do have a Twitter and Facebook account but to be honest it’s depressing trying to have a sensible conversation with some Notts fans on those platforms so I don’t generally bother. I will always try to promote PoN whenever I can.

I don’t think Maynard should be blamed for not subbing Robertson, the player was on a yellow card so common sense should tell him not to pull a player down, it’s not rocket science, as I said in a previous post he is young and will learn but that doesn’t help Notts, they’d done well up to that point, the sending off was definitely a game changer.

I think the blame for last night defeat lies with Robertson, he’s been great but he has a lot to learn, the two yellows were completely needless the ref had no option but to send him off. The first yellow was for time wasting by throwing the ball away, he should have known he’d get booked so why do it just to waste a few seconds, the the second yellow he pulled a player back which the ref spotted another yellow. Had he not been sent off they had every chance of getting something from the game.

The results are very disappointing to say the least, are we really safe from relegation? I really hope we are and that we can find a win from somewhere to get our confidence back, should Maynard be sacked? In my opinion it would be the wrong decision now, let’s see how things are at the end of the season, last night I thought we were unlucky and had we had 11 players on the pitch we could have won. Keep the faith.

The first yellow card for Robertson was really silly on his part, he threw the ball away. If he hadn’t got a red card who knows we might have won. Slocombe had a great game.

It’ll be like a new signing when Matty is fit to play again, I can’t wait.

I agree it’s very important to try to create a community feel and to look out for each other, the more we get to know each other the less likely there is to be disagreements and upsets such as you see on other online forums and social media in general. I’ve always tried to generate posts that are more general topics like “weekend chat” etc., it helps to create a feeling of community, although this forum is primarily about football related stuff there is still room to chat about other things that bring us closer together.

Wishing you a speedy recovery @Piethagoram I hope you are back on here soon, we miss you. thanks for posting @liampie I had no idea he’d been in hospital.
