I observed this image that was shared on the Pride of Nottingham Facebook page by a Notts fan. Even though the result cannot be altered, the picture communicates a lot and can be a topic of discussion. Do you believe that if the penalty was taken again? Could have made a difference in the long term? Alternatively, do you think that a tie was still inadequate?
Image shared by Luke James on Facebook.
Luke's comment: "The linesman is meant to stand and look along the line. Maybe he forgot what his job was?"
My personal view is that the referee made a good decision by awarding the penalty. However, Wrexham fans believe they should have had two penalties themselves. Firstly, there was the slightest touch by Kyle Cameron on Paul Mullin, and then Sam Slocombe's supposed trip where again Paul Mullin ran into him clearly outside the box but decided to throw himself to the ground in our penalty box.
However, judging by this picture, the referee failed to notice that Ben Foster was off his line. The assistant official should have been watching Foster more closely. In the World Cup and Premier League, penalties with off-the-line keepers are often retaken, with keepers sometimes being issued a yellow card.
The outcome of the Wrexham game cannot be changed, but it is disappointing that we will never know if a draw could have affected the title race or if Notts could have gone on to score a fourth. My final point is that officials need to ensure that keepers stay on the line. FIFA is introducing stricter rules where keepers cannot jump up or distract the penalty taker, etc. It should be something the National League strives to improve on.

The sudden passing of Notts County's chief executive, Jason Turner, at the age of 50, has had a significant impact on the club. Turner had been in the role since March 2016 and had devoted himself to the club. He was described as an outstanding CEO who was respected across football.
What kind of legacy has Jason Turner left behind at Notts County? Turner, who had been the club's chief executive since March 2016, dedicated himself to Notts County. His unexpected death has undoubtedly affected the club greatly. It is worth exploring the impact he had on the club during his tenure. What kind of changes did he bring to the club, and how did he leave his mark? Did he set the club on a path to success, or was his legacy more about the culture and values he instilled in the club? How will Notts County continue to honour his memory and his contributions to the club moving forward?
Below is the memorial post, for comments and rest in peace messages.

I am absolutely thrilled to hear that Luke Williams and Macaulay Langstaff have scooped the Vanarama National League monthly awards for March.Β
Williams has been a fantastic manager for Notts County, leading the team to victory time and time again. His tactical brilliance and ability to motivate the players have been key to our success.
Langstaff, on the other hand, has been an absolute powerhouse on the pitch. His incredible skill and ability to score goals have made him a fan favourite. Itβs no surprise that he has won awards for his performances; he truly deserves it.
I am so proud of both Williams and Langstaff for their achievements. They have worked hard, and itβs great to see them being recognised for their efforts. I canβt wait to see what the future holds for Notts County with these two at the helm.
What do you think about Williams and Langstaff winning these awards? Do you think they deserved it? How do you think this will impact Notts Countyβs performance in the upcoming game this weekend against Woking?

1 hour ago, 4everapie said:They only won because as per usual through poor defending, Bajrami isn't a defender. Ruben shouldn't have started he obviously still wasn't well. When we get promoted we'll need better defenders.
its not just bajrami, the back 3 had no awareness together. cameron plays to far up, the wing back did not protect them enough. bajrami was bad, but so was rawlinson. i dont think those 3 work together, baldwin has more pace and is more switched one.
very disconnected at the back, but its things to learn from isn't it?
now is the time to work on those in order to improve in time for the playoffs.

Indeed
Whoa, Notts really gave us a run for our money with that opening goal. I had to do a double-take to make sure I wasnβt hallucinating. But seriously, Notts put up a good fight in a tough game. It wasnβt easy for us, especially with the way you guys played. And if Bostock had smashed that net in the second half instead of the first? Game over, man. But hey, donβt get too down, County fans. Youβve still got a shot at promotion this season. Best of luck!Β

I have had to invest a lot of time fixing my home to the standard I like and have neglected to check in on PON.
I am back after a fairly lengthy break.
Hope to pick up where I left. What has everyone been up to? Anything new to report?

At the start of the match, Sam Austin and Jodi Jones looked energised. Together with Aaron Nemane, they covered a lot of ground that Ruben Rodrigues would usually have covered. Despite being short on players, we still managed to secure a convincing win. It was a good call by Luke Williams to rest Ruben. Some comments before the game suggested that we would lose because of this decision. However, it's evident that those doubters were wrong. It was common sense that Ruben had limped off in the previous match and needed rest before the Wrexham game. It didn't appear to be a serious injury that would keep him out of a match.
The current season has been truly remarkable. It never crossed my mind that Notts would have another opportunity to reach the top of the league following the defeat against Dagenham & Redbridge. It's a testament to just how outstanding this season has been, don't you think?
The execution of each goal was exceptional. I concur with the sentiments expressed by others before me that we could have easily scored three goals before half time and many more opportunities throughout the match.
I couldn't help but feel sympathetic towards Wealdstone. I don't believe they would have been as clumsy or played as poorly against other typical teams. It's just a reflection of the high level of proficiency among the teams in this league. However, given their current position, it's clear that the club is doing something right, and I must commend their goalkeeper for an excellent performance.
Reportedly, Notts had 63.55% possession overall, with only 6.38 average shots on target. However, I perceived that Notts created several exceptional opportunities, and from what I can recall, the final score could have easily been around 5-0. It was a delight to see Richard Brindley return to the side. Although he didn't engage in the attacks as much, he proved to be dependable when called upon. The return of Brindley and Cadwyn Scott came at an opportune time, and they were both sorely missed from the line-up. If Luke Williams can make astute decisions, he might not have to worry about the playoffs. Nevertheless, I hope that we can avoid such a roll of the dice for our own sake, although I had believed that we had done so previously!

I really enjoyed the game, we smashed Scunthorpe United but the way they played kinda ruined the victory for me. They were proper rubbish, like it almost spoiled the game. If it wasn't for some sick moves from Ruben, Langstaff, Austin, O'Brien, and Palmer, I reckon it would've been dead boring. I know it might sound controversial, but I don't like games where it's totally one-sided, and that's exactly what this was. I'm stoked that we won though, especially with Langstaff getting a couple of goals. The team was sick, but it's just a shame that Scunthorpe didn't put up more of a fight.
I thought the entire squad played well, given what they were up against. You can only beat the team in front of you, and Notts did it in style. I think Jim silenced his critics with his performance, even though Scunthorpe were poor, he showed his class and helped drive Notts forward. 4-0 flattered Scunthorpe United, as Notts could have easily scored several more goals. Their keeper, who they brought in on loan a few hours before the game, was very weak. His kicking was hilarious!

Alty were always going to pose more of a challenge than on Saturday, and they did give us some nervous moments at the back. We rode our luck a couple of times but were comfortably in control in the second half and the win never looked in doubt. Great penalty save by Mair, funnily enough I always thought he was going to save it - it wasn't badly taken but it was the perfect height for the keeper to reach. Great stuff.
Now we have a Saturday off ahead of Wealdstone. Then we cross our fingers that Oldham can maybe nick something from the Welsh team before our showdown at Easter.
Notts managed to come away with a win, one way or another. While there may be some controversy surrounding the first goal, there's no denying that their player clearly lifted their arm up for the second goal. It's not acceptable to jump like that at any level of the game, and while some may argue that the decision was harsh, it was well within the rules.
Getting three points and a clean sheet is a huge positive for the team, and I think it's a real testament to their hard work and dedication. All in all, it's a great result for Notts County.
What a brilliant professional performance by Notts. It's hard to believe that we have amassed 97 points, which would have secured us the league title by this stage in almost every other season. This season has been completely bonkers. It's even more insane when you consider that we need Wrexham to suffer two more losses than us to obtain the reward that we truly deserve.
i dont spend as much of my free time on social media, with me working from 8am to 5:30pm and sometimes into late shifts i took a step back from twitter and facebook. i have never really liked twitter that much, its a place where people get hot headed easily and usually over silly stuff. like god forbid someone has a different opinion than yours.
i prefer facebook always have, i wished i had more time to keep updated with @super_ram, @magpiejueΒ and some of the other friends from here.
do you spend much time online? does social media have an impact on your life?
