As requested, here is a quick run down on the trip out.

We dropped the kids off at my parents for the day/night and zoomed up to Buxton. Absolutely lovely place. Never been before , but will definitely go back. Old Spa type town with wonderful buildings wherever you go and no more so than the hotel, The Palace, which we stayed in. Quite a contrast to the hotel we stayed in at Dublin last November which was The Gibson next to the Eire O2. That was built for luxury fo the 21st Century so everything was perfect and so modern.

The Palace was like stepping into the set of Downton Abbey! Very grand and well, old!

Lovely place to soak up the history and the things like the wonky stairs add to the charm of the old place, but for me I prefer the more modern approach and the Palace must be due a refurb soon I would think.

The Opera House (Buxtons version of the Theatre Royal) was lovely. Again a traditional theatre with the full cherub and gold leaf decoration etc..

The 3 ladies themselves, fascinating Aida, were brilliant. Their satirical humour matched only by their wonderful singing voices made for a laughter filled evening. Might go and see them next year as the our has been so successful they've extended it again to continue to Easter 2015. Not bad considering they've been playing sold out theatres every night of the tour since it started in Autumn 2013.

( Must be hard being on the road for hat amount of time considering we are talking about ladies of the mature variety, not a pop band!)

Would highly recommend it to and and all, but be prepared for fruity language.Amazing how three ladies in ballgowns with wonderful singing voices can make you feel so at ease with the expletives they use!

34 Years young is Garry, and born up here in the "old Grey Town" that is Kendal.

So, losing to Accrington means we are out of the FA cup at the first hurdle and wont be hosting Yeovil in R2.  However, some consolation is that we play them on Saturday back in division three action when we look to build on a season that overall exceeds expectations, regardless of early cup exits.

The crowd was quite lively, it was bursting with life once it got closer to kick off. Spoke to many fans yesterday, again I spoke Joshua and his grandmother. I am pleased to see young fans like Joshua enjoying Notts, as they're our future and it sort of reminds me of when my Grandfather got me involved.

Family club! It makes me PROUD.

I've read some comments which have concerned me about how some of our fans view Yeovil, they've earned their right to play in this league and I do not feel for a second that they're punching above their weight. They are a very good side on their day, I fully expect them to turn it around and progress back towards mid table.

Adjusting back to League One isn't easy, Bristol City, Coventry, Barnsley and so many others have struggled to adapt.

It's an hard league! The problem Yeovil are having is scoring, they made a mistake by selling Paddy Madden. Jordy Hiwula isn't a bad player, he's on loan from Manchester City and can be a tricky player - Liam Davis, Joel Grant, Kevin Dawson, and Sam Foley are players who I'd make Notts aware of for starters.

If Notts play to the way we know they can do, I don't see Yeovil being much of a problem but they will play similar to how Accrington did. Physical, playing to their strengths and not allowing the ball settle.

Key players for us will be our wide men, Yeovil's defence is the weakest area but they have a decent keeper in Artur Krysiak. Our strikers will need to make runs which will draw Yeovil's defence to follow, which I see allowing our midfield into the game. I expect players like Gary Jones, Liam Noble (whoever plays CM) to get the chances to score.

It's about time we stuffed Yeovil and if we play our cards right, I could see us scoring 3.

That probably won't happen though.

In the Kop, it works out at £16 per game. It's worth it if you currently don't buy a program if you can make 10 of the last 13 games, and if you normally buy a program it's worth it if you can make at least 9 of the last 13.

If you can afford the upfront cost, why not give it a go and support the boys in black and white!

I've started watching the missing, its about a little boy who's been kidnapped. Some may feel its sort of like Madeline McCann - Its very good.

I must admit when i heard that Roy Carroll had signed for Notts County i was shocked and surprised. After seeing him in action for his former teams and the fact he couldn't control his demons i was not happy. Being a big Bart fan myself you could say it was sour grapes. But after all highlights and  games I've watched and what i heard at the weekend 2 games in 24/48 hours Im slowing changing my mind. I will admit i was wrong and would like to see Roy Carroll stay next season.

One well-known theory as to why the human race has not been visited - at least knowingly - by advanced civilisations from other plants is that, as a a race, we are not yet worth visiting. We have not yet evolved, the theory goes, to sufficient intelligence for it to be worth their while.

A trip to Meadow Lane makes this view hard to contend with. Any alien for whom the first glance at the human race was down at Meadow Lane would draw the following conclusions about earth:

- that the laws of physics regarding light are different here: fans 50-100 meters away from an incident are exempt from the law that results in physical objects appearing smaller the further away they are; given this, they know instantly the truth about an incident on the pitch, whereas the referee, the expert in this sort of thing, and who is standing perhaps just five meters away, IS and ALWAYS IS wrong.

- that there is some odd physical law which says that if a player of a certain shirt colour appears to be hurt, he is definitely faking it. However, if a person of the other shirt colour appears to be hurt, he is definitely not faking it. Again, the fans who instantly and vociferously adjudicate on such incidents, are always correct.

- continuing this point, that it is reprehensible and evil to feign injury in the case of the opposition, yet curiously acceptable in the case of the home team when you are clinging on to a 1-0 lead in the 85th minute away from home. Our alien, assuming the human race to be capable of fairness and objectivity, might wonder why, when our team do it, we don't equally shout at them for it.

- that predictions about the earth's eventual demise - destroyed by its own inhabitents - are pretty much on the money, if perceived intelligence of its dominant species is anything to go on. One example might be fathers and grandfathers sitting next to sons and grandsons, happily giving "wanker" hand gestures to visiting players and fans, calling the referee expletives. And so on and so on. The fact is, we played attrociously today. We insist on lofting the ball even though it almost always results in giving away possession. Meanwhile, our opponents play and pass their way out of their zone, with balls to the feet. We barely gave their keeper anything to think about, and we were undisciplined.

We got what we deserved. We couldn't string passes together; loose balls were meekly given back to Yeovil or hit out of play. It was like watching a Sunday league team at times.

Shaun Derry said recently he thought we were overachieving. And a good thing to, because we definitely are; on the form of three of our last four games, we are in a very inflated league position.

As a Notts county fan I'm getting used to things not quiet be right for us but this season i have a funny feeling we will go up. 

After last season great escape and an entire team over haul i can see we are slowly turning in to a team that could cause some other teams a upset. Just think the legendary pies in the championship facing Derby if they don't go up the team from the other side of the trent forest maybe even the foxes and every Notts county goal keeper kasper.

Would you/wouldn't you, and is this something you think we will see more of?

In all Seriousness Notts were never going to win the FA cup. So we have to believe that we are better off out of it. 30 league games left is plenty of competitive football and the fact that there are no other distractions could prove to be a godsend. After the Manchester City millionaires knocked us out a couple of seasons ago our form slipped alarmingly. Give it everything we've got in the league and we might be pushing for outright promotion, never mind the play-offs. Before this season I would have been happy with a mid table finish but I seriously believe that there is a togetherness at Notts, the likes of which has been missing for a few seasons now.

I've tried to achieve something different, anything can be changed.

Does Jimmy get the nod?

I would love to see Shaun Derry play for Notts County he has had a great career.  I will say i would only like to see him play part time though as we need his prescence on the touch line. He is a great manager and has brought us on leaps and bounds.

In another post @notts-joe was having a bit of friendly banter with @GrannyPie and I said to be careful he could get a clip round the tab. This amused @weymouthPIE who said if he said that down south they wouldn't know what he meant.

This got me trying to think of other words that are local to this area and people in other parts of the country would have difficulty understanding. Here are a few I thought of:

Cob = Bread roll

Causey = Pavement

Twitchell or Jitty = Narrow alleyway

Badly = Ill (as in I feel badly today so I'm not going to work)

Mardy = Grumpy or sulky

Rammell = Rubbish

I'm sure there are lots more, anyone else think of any?
