  1. what are the downsides of supporting notts this season for you and what are the things we have to learn from?

i think the downsides are very obvious, for me anyway.

    1. dwindling crowds
    2. very poor form
    3. little sign of togetherness
    4. hanging onto ck for so long
    5. not managing to win games we should have done

the things i feel the club should learn is to appreciate all support, making the most of the great support we do have. dont approve signings where theres a risk the player will be injured the majority of the time. make sure management and players work together! derry needs to keep up with his togetherness. judge players by how they perform, show desire and not what level of experience they have.

  2. A date no football fan will ever forget. 96 Liverpool fans left home and never returned. Their reputations were attacked by the establishment. They were called hooligans. If the establishment thought they could get away with it, they were wrong. They picked on the wrong city. 25 years later justice is finally being done. Reputations have been restored, not that they were ever sullied in football fans's eyes. We knew the truth. They'll never walk alone........

    JFT96.

  3. Huddersfield players wasting time as early as the 15th minute.Ref warns them but they carry on,result-booking.Goalie error!I wish opposition teams made it this easy every week.

  4. Our Grandson George is on holiday at the moment with his mum and dad and they have been bowling, unfortunately he has dropped a bowling ball on his dad's foot, the trouble is his dad is supposed to be running the London marathon next weekend. Ooops.

  5. After watching the Derry interview on M player and Ball has been sent back. Derry talked about his not getting on with his rehab very well as well. When questioned about attitude and commitment he changed the question to ability. Easily side stepped, but sent a big signal that Ball hasn't been playing Ball as he should during his recovery!!!

  6. 8. Well here he is, Notts County's newest supporter, and our lucky mascot too, loved every minute of it, he screamed his head off all the match , complained his hands were sore when it was over and he's demanded I take him to Oldham in a couple of weeks as well.

The only downside was that he was rather upset they (Nearly) didn't sing the "Wheel Barrow Song" (I'd been teaching it to him for a few days!) But it finally got sung a couple of minutes from the end so he was really happy and loud.

Oh and I treated him to the new barcode shirt too, he hasn't taken it off since and is still wearing it now (Sunday evening!)

  13. The match got off to the worst possible start for the Rams with Blackpool scoring straight from the kick off.Rams equalised in the 3rd minute and went on to win comfortably 3 -1.Rams had 1 player booked,Blackpool 5 Judge being one. There was also a protest from the Blackpool supporters against their board. With QPR losing at Blackburn Rams move back to 3rd.Leicester were hammered 4 -1 at home by Brighton and that lot drew at home 3 - 3 with Wednesday and drop to 10th 5 points outside the play off places.

  20. With only 5 games remaining and 5 points clear of the premiership relegation zone, Chris Hughton has been sacked and replaced by Adams, a youth team coach.

Surely this is either inspired or purely stupid. I think stupid, but in this situation I suppose the pull of money was weighing heavily on the boards minds. we'll never know what would have happened, just what Adams does or doesn't do.

  21. Hi,

I'm the pre-match reporter for the Port Vale Fans Forum One Vale Fan.

Part of my role is to contact fans of our forthcoming opponents to ask them a few questions and gain their views on the upcoming fixture between our sides in order to produce a report which we release on the site a couple of days prior to the game.

    I wondered if you have a few minutes and would be prepared to share a few views if you would kindly offer your feelings on the game by answering the following few questions;

    1. Tell us a bit about yourself & history as a fan?

    2. How are your team doing (current form and in relation to the expectation of fans at the start of the season)?

    3. Who should we watch out for (one or more danger player/s)?

    4. What are your thoughts on your manager?

    5. What are your thoughts on your board & off field club activities?

    6. Any views on Port Vale & specific players?

    7. Any views & memories of players / managers that have been involved with both teams (Luke Rodgers, Lee Ashcroft, Brett Angell)?

    8. A score prediction (and potential scorers for both sides)?

    Please also feel free to include any other information you feel worthy and I will knock it into a report as per the example below regarding contribution from Plymouth fans from our game with them;

    http://www.onevalefan.co.uk/site/opposing-views-plymouth/

To enable me to produce this in good time I need a reply by Tuesday 8th April and the report should appear on the website a day or two before our fixture.

Please also let me know if you would like me to include your name on the article.

Many thanks for your potential support in this matter.

    Best Regards,

    REP

  22. I've sorted out the days off, shuffled the work rotas etc so that I can pull in at least 2 of the last 5 games.

I'm getting over on Friday (supposedly to fit my Mums new PC for her but surreptitiously to get to Meadow lane on the Saturday for the Port Vale match) My wife and kids are coming , no surprise there, but what was the surprise was our Adam asked if he could come to the match with me!!

Then all being well I can get up to Oldham for the last match !!

:hyper:  :hyper:  :hyper:  :hyper:  :hyper:  :hyper:  :hyper:  :hyper:

  23. seeming as there is a current thread on MAD comparing the two sites, i thought I'd let people offer their opinions here as to which they really prefer and why.

    http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=402&fid=17&sty=2&act=1&mid=2111348488

TBH though I think if we spend all day comparing two totally different sites then the reason for the sites in the first place is being lost!

I know I prefer here to MAD due to the fact that people are ...well...normal (well most of you anyway!)

  24. Welcome to the community @xpdnc I hope you enjoy reading the forum and taking part whenever you can.
