NOTTS County will not have a top-six budget in League One next season.
But boss Chris Kiwomya believes he can make the Magpies stronger with less cash to splash in the transfer market this summer and insists it does not show a lack of ambition to get into the Championship
from the club.
"I don't think the budget next season will be a top-six budget that's for sure, but we will be competing to do well in the league," he said.
The likes of Tranmere Rovers and Yeovil Town are both still challenging for the play-offs this season on small budgets, while Notts are down in 11th place in the table ahead of facing Bournemouth away today (3pm).

No surprise, I think we just need to spend more wisely. Simple
Hi I am a Juve supporter working in London, I met some of you guys in Turin for the Juve-Napoli match last October and I wanted with a friend of mine to come and watch one of your last home matches of this season. Unfortunately both of us will not be able to be together in the same weekend in the UK. Scrolling your fixtures, I noticed the Bournemouth match on April 6th: would you recommend it for joining you in your end? Is that a quiet match out of the pitch? Since we will most probably travel by car or train from London, we would just like to be the two of us with black and white scarves in the middle of Bournemoth end...
What about the tickets? Shall I buy those directly by the Notts County site as I suppose?
Thanks, hope to see you guys soon.
Cheers
Giorgio
PS if you don't mind, we will be coming with Juve scarves...
And compliments, great site!

Ok guys, who's renewed their season ticket, please to say I was the first, £325 in the Kop as prices were frozen when I got mine, normally £340 so there's £15 saved straight away, nearly a £1 a game already.

I promised I would share our stats every 3 months, well here is the update. Please remember we could be doing much better, as some people choose to block the cookies sadly. As you can see we've greatly improved since December, this wouldn't be possible if members like you didn't help by contributing. I dislike taking credit, its a community and the site is 'ours'. I say this on all of the sites I run because I honestly believe if you run a site it belongs to the people who lay down the foundations. Thank you very much!

So, I have wanted to try to attend more games. (I've done this) I wanted to take the step a little further and from the kindness shown by 2piesonmyshirt driving myself + Jake all the way to Hartlepool and back, it made me taste what the 'away day' is like. I really wanted to feel like I did that day, to sum up so easily doesn't justify it but it was simply amazing.
Kim kindly offered to allow me and Jake to tag along to the game against Swindon.
Both myself and him were excited, we later found out WeymouthPie would be attending and it became so much more important. (met and finally said hello to some very nice people) I love how bright and engaging Jake responded to the trip, however the whole day will be one of them we both will remember. As you can tell I feel very sentimental, as a father who wants the best for his children (as most do) I get so much joy from seeing him happy.

Performances might leave fans asking questions but this was very kind by all involved, I am very PROUD. (hard not to be)

Local newspapers in Sheffield are reporting that Sheffield United have parted company with Danny Wilson following last night's 2-0 loss at home to Crawley Town. That defeat left United six points adrift of second placed Bournemouth although they still have two games in hand, so automatic promotion is still achievable but I think it's fair to say they're nowhere near the side they were last season. Could be said that when Ched Evans went to jail, their ruthlessness went.
Think the timing is ludicrous though. If they were going to do it, do it at the end of the season. I really dont see what difference sacking him at this time of the season will make.
Wonder who they'll get as a replacement. Neil Warnock to return to his boyhood club? Appleton?

Martin Allen's Gillingham have gained promotion from League 2 and will be playing Notts next season, it will be great to see him back at the Lane and I'm sure he'll get a good reception.
I'm really pleased for him after he was (in my opinion) unfairly ousted from his position at Notts.

Will be making the hour or so journey to Dean Court for my final Notts game of the season tommorow. Have to say, realistically I'm expecting us to lose and not really cuase Bournemouth too many problems, but hoping to have a laugh, have a bit of a sing-song and generally just have an enjoyable day out. Determined to make the most of my last Notts game of the season ![]()
Then again you never know in football do you? Remember Notts County v Bury last season? Bury had nothing to play for, Notts had everything to gain but Bury came and turned us over 4-2. The tables are turned tommorow and we'll be playing the role of Bury if you like. Who knows?
I just hope we go for it. We're not going to get relegated but we're not going to win anything so what's the harm in just going for it? Not only is there no point in us going there for a point, but it's not entertaining and we'll probably get a beating if we do it. Against Brentford we proved we could cause one of the promotion challengers problems for the last 20 minutes and had chances to take a draw.
Anyone else coming down? Come say hello if you see me ![]()

I asked on FB which got so many responses, I hadn't expected it but made my day when I noticed that people kept adding the people they thought/like most. Why consider adding yours?
Jimmy (no doubt) but if I went by people I've seen/met. Michale Johnson, Lee Hughes.
So many players prior I wished I had witness them grace the field, although any list I did make does have the potential to go on. (which I do enough)
Who would your top 3 be?

I know a lot of you were at the match on Saturday and Tony is enjoying a pint somewhere. So what have I been doing, well nothing much.Basically the weather put paid to any plans and I've just been pottering about trying to keep warm.I must say, though, I don't miss getting up at 5am to go to work.I was hoping to get in the garden and tidy up the winter debris before the end of March.Looking at the forecast there doesn't seem much chance of that.Anyone done anything interesting?

Labadie returns to County
Labadie, who joined the Magpies on a free transfer last summer after leaving Tranmere, moved to Plainmoor at the start of March but has been brought back from the League Two club after just under a month in Devon.
As part of the deal that took the 22-year-old midfielder to Torquay, the Magpies included a clause allowing them to recall the player at 24 hours' notice - an option that the club have now taken up.
Labadie scored four goals in seven appearances during his short spell with the Gulls.
He will now be available for Notts County's trip to Bournemouth on Saturday, with fellow midfielder Alan Judge due to start a two-match suspension.

I spoke to a couple of friends at yesterdays Fan Forum, I didn't have a pen or my mobile with me so I could not double check the site address as I have mine bookmarked. Can we invite people to the site? It came up in conversation after a couple of comments were made. I'm surprised that neither had heard of the site before I mentioned it. Also Joe, I will ask family members back in Nottingham to help spread the word.

Doncaster move closer to automatic promotion, as do Bournemouth after what sounds like a somewhat controversial refereeing display against Notts..Yeovil move to 3rd after beating the Shrews, though I think Shrews should be OK. Although Walsall could only manage a draw at home against Sheffield Utd it does leave them handily placed on equal points with Tranmere..Swindon ,having games in hand are even better placed at 6th and they will also be disappointed that Walsall didn't win.
Elsewhere,Gillingham will be at Meadow Lane next season after securing promotion and Mansfield's 4 away at Barrow has done their hopes of a return to the Football League no harm.
In the Championship Blackburn slip into the relegation area and my lot missed another penalty(that's 3 misses in the last games) losing at home to Ipswich right at the death.

I'm trying very hard to incorporate a little more time into the social streams, it's a good way with connecting with people and I enjoy every aspect but times very limiting at times. (I'm sure members relate)
Here's a game I've posted on our FB page and Twitter account. (slightly changing the image)
Can any of our members name who this is, as we play 'Guess Who?'.

I don't like saying this but I was speechless, I mean, I found myself sitting on a table eagerly listening to what was being said but this place has opened my eye's even wider than before. I honestly feel although some valid/good questions did get asked, many sadly failed to reach a point. I've given myself a tough task about writing about it (though I am struggling here).
The video link didn't work, massive failure and a disappointment to the evening for myself.
It made me wonder if any practice sessions actually happened, but we move on of course. Yet Mr Trew's opinions would have been a highlight, I liked Chris and he put himself across very well.
I expected it to be far worse, fireworks infact but then again I should have expected that 'comments' wouldn't have been raised. I feel the board should be wondering what they've missed out on because for me it wasn't all that constructive. I don't know anything new that I didn't know prior to attending.
God ,I hope fans realize how vital it is for us to get back to supporting the club we know and love. I worry, I shouldn't but I do.
Your thoughts?
