this will be the first champions league where the final is on a Saturday night

I think the mighty MANCHESTER UNITED will be back in the final again this year and I think that even with all there superstars Madrid will slip up in the semis

United will face Barca in the final and UNITED will take the trophy back to England again

Fingers crossed for another 3 points on the road tonight. Difficult game against another side with new manager syndrome but I think we'll get the right result.

Predictions? I'll say 3-2 Notts

Good evening fellow pies, good to join this little community. My Name's James Spring, part of the Dorset supporters club :)

Me and William got married at Notts County FC on the 29th of May 2010. I thought I would share the photos with the folkes on here. We had Harry (our son), who was 3 & a half months at the time, in his Notts County football kit with his little england boots on too. Me and William both had Notts badges on our outfits somewhere also. We named all the tables after our favourite players of the 2009-2010 lineup aswell.

Here is the thread for all the photos:

Hello everyone, my name is Jason. Glad to be a part of your community :)

Martin Allen will no doubt be looking forward to this game which will make it very interesting. We're on a very good run, so I'm hoping it will continue by having a good result today. MK are being touted for promotion, though I think this is the type of game we're we should come out strong.

Notts County boss Martin Allen will make seven changes to his starting line-up.

Jon Harley and Charlie Allen will start and the Magpies boss has revealed he will field a midfield of Hamza Bencherif, John Spicer, Ricky Ravenhill and Ishmel Demontagnac.

Striker Karl Hawley will lead the line as top scorer Lee Hughes is on the substitutes' bench with a number of youth players.

Defender Julian Kelly was sent off during Saturday's 1-0 defeat to MK Dons and will serve a one-match suspension as a result.

Striker Ben Burgess took a heavy knock to his knee in training and will sit out while Alan Sheehan (sore metatarsal) and Stephen Hunt (ankle) have been ruled out.

Chesterfield will be without left-back Nathan Smith.

The defender has been called up to the Jamaica squad for the first time and will be available for their World Cup qualifier against Honduras.

He will also miss the league trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Spireites manager John Sheridan should have everyone else available for the match at Meadow Lane after Jonathan Grounds (ankle) came through Saturday's defeat to Colchester unscathed.

Coach Mark Crossley insists they will field a strong side against the Magpies, telling Chesterfield's official website: "We want to go and try and win the game, so we'll be as strong as possible."

I think this is a game most of us would expect to win. I heard the line up at super rams, which sounding very interesting. I think Uncle Colin mentioned that 4 fringe players was starting and I see we're 1 - 0 up now. Karl as finally scored!! I hope it gives him a good push to get a few more.

I've just been reading this article found on our official website. Link Here

I think it's pretty awesome, although probably sounding knit picky It's hardly anything new in terms of design. Striped flag with our logo on, still none the less it's good to see we've changed from the old one's. I'm also slightly confused with this part of the article.

"The rules is that if you've won the FA Cup, you can have triangle, but you can only have your logo on if you have won the competition three times."

We've only won the FA cup once, so how can we have our logo on? Okay I am being picky. Wonder if we will keep them after the two games that they're planned to be used for. I bet the fan is loving the fact he also got to keep the old one's, which is quite the souvenir. What do you guys think?

So we all know that every clubs dream is to get into the premiership.

So with the new season aproaching (after the world cup that is) whos coming down from the premiership and whos going up from the championship?

I just heard that despite playing pretty well, they was forced back by aston villa at home resulting in a 3 - 1 thrashing.

This is good to see!

Aston Villa in recent times have done some great stuff, they're a side full of players which "are labeled" good but have never really gelled with previous teams and Mr O'Neil is showing the reason why he's a top manager. Hey steve, good news huh? I think this will be helping you guys no end.

Sorry Vicky! Torres couldn't fight it.. haha :P

Another young player on loan to us as a promising addition.

The 22-year-old left-sided player has had previous loan spells at Oldham Athletic and Northampton Town.

Manager Ian McParland told BBC East Midlands Today: "He's got lots of energy, he can head it and is a good addition to the squad."

More info!

I'm shocked! I know many fans was slating him and some just thought he wasn't up to the job. (it's fair) though I do feel he didn't deserve to go based on what results we have managed to get. Having seeing the game yesterday I said to cheeky "I can see why people are on his back" it was poor tactics after they scored.

Hawley wasn't a good option, for me hamshaw was his best decision but I guess he didn't have much time really.

Goodluck Charlie, I wish you luck!

J/W when you was going to post this joe.

Notts County captain Graeme Lee left it late to salvage a point at home against Shrewsbury in Hans Backe's first match as manager of the Meadow Lane club.

The Shrews had gone in front on the half-hour mark; on-loan Jamie Devitt slotting past Kasper Schmeichel after being teed up by Dean Holden.

Shrews keeper Steve Phillips then saved a Luke Rodgers shot, Lee Hughes' strike and Ade Akinbiyi's turn and shot.

But Lee headed in Rodgers' cross to get County a point and keep them in fourth.

Match Report

Takes time to get things right.

Notts County extended their unbeaten home run to seven league matches with victory over struggling Crewe.

County had already hit the crossbar before Johnnie Jackson released Luke Rodgers to stride forward and slot home the opening goal for the Magpies.

Craig Westcarr added the second, firing in to the bottom corner from distance.

Kasper Schmeichel's penalty save from Steven Schumacher added insult to injury for a Crewe side who have now lost seven of their last eight games.

We seemed on top pretty much most of what I've seen, sadly it's only what's been shown on tv via various media. I'm not sure on the penalty as it looked quite soft, what was it for pushing? Either way kasper seemed to be on top form and everyone else pushed for the result.

While at the doctors today while watching the news I was aware that the england match at the weekend is only being shown online. What really annoys me is that they expect you to pay nearly £5 to watch it online. And what are the problems with being online.....

1) what if the internet crashes?

2) what about low bandwidth?

3) what if the computer crashes?

4 ) plus lower definition on a computer!

All in all its a mega stupid idea in my opinion, which has highly annoyed me!

Heres some news about the takeover, anyone have any views on this?.......

The Football League issued a statement on Monday saying that discussions with the League Two side regarding their ownership structure were ongoing.

But County say they expect a statement of satisfaction with the takeover to by released by the League on Tuesday.

A Football League spokesman said: "We have received Fit and Proper Persons documentation. Discussions are ongoing with regard to the club's ownership structure."

"We're putting significant funding into a League Two club, which has not happened before and because of that we have to go through perhaps more hoops than any other football club would do."

The Magpies have barely been out of the news since Middle East consortium Munto Finance bought the club during the summer and installed former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson as director of football.

I have a thing for football logos, when I was a kid I pretty much followed teams based on these. (not support but shown an interest in how they was doing) I also grown a liking to arsenal because they had stripey socks but which would you say is your top five?

I'm happy to say I've finally managed to attend a game and work couldn't get in my way. :D

First half we was really good right up to the goal they scored, we just didn't defend!!! It was annoying to watch the players drop and allow Torquay and poor old hughes having to have a bash at defending, it was just so disappointing that I'm unable to say how bad it was.

It was like watching forest!! ;)

Struggling Torquay mounted a courageous fight-back to ****** a point at big-spending Notts County.

A composed 16-yard strike from Craig Westcarr and a brilliant Ben Davies free-kick had put the home team 2-0 ahead and seemingly destined for their fifth home win of the League Two season.

Notts was beaten by Bradford in penalties 3 goals to 2. I can't say that overly bothered, as I'm glad some of our bigger names didn't get wasted playing. (injuries which could be saved for league) but a good outing no doubt for those who went, facey and westcarr our scorers.
