El Tel has died aged 80, former Tottenham  and England manager when we reached the semi final in the 1996 Euros.

Proud to be a Notts County Supporter for over 60 years.

I know him more from his time as the England manager, I thought he did well, and he was the type of person who seemed to get the best out of Paul Gascoigne. I also like him as a pundit, because he wasn't always judgemental or so serious about things. He allowed you to see the game differently, without paying too much attention to fault but drawing more towards the class shown when teams scored.

A lot of deaths this year make me a little fed up, I'm sick of seeing bad news like this but its part of life, unfortunately.

Rest in Peace, Terry Venables. ????

A field where dreams become reality.

Rest in Peace, Terry Venables. I’m saddened as well, but he lived a good life and should be remembered for his achievements.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

Terry Venables seemed like a truly upright individual who cared about his role as manager. Many former England internationals have spoken very highly of him, which says a lot. Rest in Peace, El Tel.
