Oh my goodness surely someone should have noticed it somewhere along the production process, that’s shocking. God help the person responsible, they’ll be in big trouble.

With Yeovil, is it just the packaging that has the misspelling? If so, it’s amusing but not too serious. If it’s on the merchandise as well, then that’s quite shocking.

The quality control at the manufacturer needs to get some glasses or retraining.

But there are times we have seen road signs misspelt too.

So mistakes like this don't surprise me anymore.

even yeovil fans dont buy their own merchandise, i would laugh my head off if the misspelling made it onto their shirts. we might need to amend how we spell it rightly, if it catches on. 😂

It's funny to see "Yeovl Town" spelled wrong. They used to be in the Championship. I'm surprised they spelled "official" and "merchandise" correctly. :rollonfloorlaughing:

It's quite sad how they have become a tin pot club again. It's not surprising that they can't spell their own name. I sound really mean, but their fans and club aren't the smartest people you'll meet.

I have one of the 1882 scarves somewhere in a bag, in the kitchen with loads of them and other winter stuff. I actually tried to get it exchanged, but I was refused. So, I tried to get my money back, but it was like making a stone bleed. To my announcement, exchanges were offered in the end, but I wasn't able to get to Meadow Lane during that period, so I ended up being stuck with it.

As for Yeovil, it's very easy to do.

Your eyes go blind to what you want to see. I have this issue with a side effect to some of the medication I am on. If I thought the sea was red, no matter what you said or showed me. I would be convinced I was right. I feel for Yeovil, they did well to reach the Championship and have suffered ever since.

It's embarrassing to see a club misspell their own name, but I'm sure other clubs have done it too. The person most likely responsible probably feels just as bad.

They will take longer to proof things in the future. I do feel a bit sorry about the mistake because it does become a laughingstock.

I can't read and I can't write but I can drive a tractor!

In their defence, it seems to just be on the packaging, which they can't really do anything about. It's not as cringey as having the wrong foundation year on the scarf! I've got one of those myself, I should check it...

It's quite foolish to continue selling merchandise with incorrect spelling. If the mistake were only on the packaging, it might be understandable. However, having the wrong spelling directly on the merchandise is inexcusable. A sticker could cover up the error on the packaging, but there's not much you can do with a "Yeovl Town" scarf.

Ha! Yeovil Town won't be able to live this down for a while. I wonder if they'll hear any chants about it. It would be devastating.

Poor Yeovil, they won't be able to forget this for a long time.
