Is this true?? Marvellous news if it is. Can't believe Sheff Utd has let him go out on loan, I thought he was a regular.

Posted

wow. Didn't see that one coming!

Great bit of business as long as he is committed to the cause.

Two proper wingers who can have a go at men down the wings? What ever next? Two up front?

Can't wait to see him on Saturday with Paddy down the left. What a great midfield IF the manager can go for a 4-4-2.

Welcome back. At this rate i'll need my old signature JCR one back again.

(I wonder how much Big Jim and Ray had to bite the bullet after his end of year parting about salary?)

I like the sound of that! Just what we need, a bit of creativity down the right and left flanks!

Banging crosses in and creating chances for BBB (No, not Big Ben Burgess - but Big Balint Bajner) and Thompson!

---------Carroll-------------
--Dumbuya--XXX--Mullins--Adams
-----------C.Thompson-Noble--------
---JCR----------------------------Paddy--
------------Bajner-----Thomspon---

Defence still looks a bit weak, but attack looking good!

If we had the above team from the start of the season, maybe with another CB, we could have pushed for play-offs!

We'll win 5-4 with that line up.

Sheff Utd fans not pleased. However, they seem to think he will be recalled after 28 days, and they gave him to us so we can get points off the top teams.

Weird, if true.

@notts-joe will be gobsmacked at this news when he comes off his driving lesson.

We all remember what he did vs port vale at the lane last season and ; guess who we got this saturday lol I dint c this one coming tho talk about rabbit out of the hat.

I've been back awhile sorting things out, very surreal. I think the biggest surprise was to see a discussion here with more than 10 replies so early on! That's excellent! Really pleased, so thanks to @magpie c

I am pleased, despite having hoped for a defender.

If we can take the pressure of the defence perhaps we can strengthen up ourselves without the need of a further addition. I'm just pleased to see us having two outright wingers and a lad who can backup/come on when needed in Hayhurst. This really does free up Garry Thompson as a Striker! So, welcome back JCR. I personally can whip out my old signature now!

28 days later? Hopefully we'll still have him. ;)

This all depends on with JCR turns up, at face value its a good signing and under Derry he looked a good asset. If he can repeat the end of last season he will be a big boost.

Posted

brill news! we have two wingers able to take on players which should help us a lot. good signing! regardless of what his attitude is like, he needs to prove himself and if he dont well he will be in the same situation as he was last season.

he will come good here!

Notts are pulling out all the stops for my visit to tthe lane.Looking forward to this match even more now.

I like the slightly passive aggressive comment from the BBC

"Campbell-Rice has played for 11 different clubs during a career that began at Charlton in 2002"

I'm waiting for the deluded brigade to start mentioning playoffs again We should avoid a relegation battle now.

It was probably written by either a Sheffield United fan or another rival team, perhaps even Preston North End???

I don't read the BBC, I only obtain stories.

Good news if he plays like he did towards the end of last season and definitely a good signing if we are going to play 4-4-2. I'm looking forward to Saturday now with renewed optimism!!

Posted

It makes me laugh because highlights how stupid the move to sheff utd was. did not work out and now he's back! good for us mind.

Posted

Good move, makes sense to get a player like him but do we really have to do this each year? We loan too many players. That said, we need it right now.

Have to say this signng left me completely stunned when I saw it yesterday, really not sure what to think!

I'm going to wait to see which JCR we're getting before I start getting excited. If we're getting the JCR who was simply unplayable in April during that incredible run that kept us up, then this is a fantastic piece of business. If we're getting the mardy little s**t we had to put up with for two years before that and who then decided to go about his contract negotiations in public, then god help us.

Can't say as I shed too many tears when he left, as good as he was at the end of last season it didn't excuse the fact he didn't look interested for the two years before that, and the fact he then demanded a pay rise having turned up for 12 games of a two year contract certainly left a bitter taste in the mouth.

That said, this move must have taken a lot of humility on his part, he's certainly had to eat humble pie, and he came across well in his interview on Magpie Player.

I think Sheffield United must have looked at our fixture list before sending him here too. They surely noted we play Swindon Town, MK Dons, Bradford City, Preston North End, Rochdale and Doncaster Rovers in the coming months, so it's pottentially a win win if he does the busienss for us...

Fingers crossed we're getting the JCR we had in April. He single handedly tore Port Vale a new one last season, so a similar performance this weekend would be great!
