MK Dons vs Notts County

It's a interesting game, how will we respond to the defeat against Rochdale? We never really get anything from these games and Garry Birtles is hoping that Notts can keep a sense of prospective. Yeah, it's like we all suddenly think we are good enough to outclass and out score one of the most dangerous sides in this division.

MK Dons are sort of in a bubble, yet I don't deny their class because I expected them to fade earlier on and the do their business well. I mean they lost a vital player and replaced him like it was nothing!

I don't see us passing through MK Dons, I sadly think we will opt to hoofing it because it stands more chance of being 'workable' direct but certainly not pretty to watch.

With regards to ourselves, I just hope we don't crumble. We need to prevent them scoring, if we can hold them until half time - If I was a player that would give me a lot of confidence but if we avoid going down by 2-0 goals, perhaps we can keep within the game. It's one I think we will lose and I hate writing off games before the balls even been kicked.

Prediction 2-0 to them.

What do you think? Possible line-ups? Score predictions?

Does this one really matter? For me it doesn't, nor does the Preston home game, best option for tomorrow is not travel, not listen and don't look at the result as that way the fragile hope of staying up will still be alive.

@CliftonMagpie I reckon Derry is gonna have to take more than one for the team.Β

MK Dons 6 - 0 Notts County

Are we going to win? No. Goal difference could be important so it's vital we don't get thrashed.

Here's how the game will go. Fake Dons get the ball and play it around, Notts get it back and immediately hoof it in the general direction of their goal. Fake Dons wait patiently and work an opening. 1-0. Repeat for the next 2 goals.

3-0 to the Fake Dons.

Notts win the battle of who can kick the ball out the stadium the most times.

We are really low on confidence, the best we can hope for is that we work hard, get lucky and manage to scrape a draw but realistically I think we are going to lose around 2 or 3 nil.

Well I'm speechless at what I've read here about shawn the team and the fact it don't matter. Are we the pride of nottingham or are we the team/fans that give in when it gets tough. i KNOW OUR PACTENCE are getting tested but this is where we show our support our solidarity not buckle.

Im saying we win tomoz and this will the springboard to survial not the great escape.

Bizarrely, despite Derry's incompetence, the lack of creativity, our defensive frailty and the fact we haven't got a striker worthy of the name - this is exactly the sort of game that we spring a surprise. An against the odds draw, perhaps? Or am I simply fantasising and Rachel Riley has just been replaced by Notts in my dreams?

I am not sure if it is actually a blessing in disguise that I have a training day at work, and wont be able to listen and be in chat... means I can get the result clean and clinical from radio, rather than live through the carnage

That is just what I am thinking, at least springing the surprise. We can take it more seriously if we prevent the from scoring and sound to be in the game.

Well as much as I try to keep looking on the bright side im a bit : numb; at that one.scunny at home next week.6 pointer anyone!!!

Tried to avoid coming on here yesterday to avoid emotional outbursts!

Disappointed with the result, but didn't expect anything more.

Listening to Colin led me to believe the result was unfair in the amount scored and we were in the game. After speaking to friends who travelled to the soulless place that is MK Dons, they said basically MK played with us for about an hour then decided to put a shift in and then it seriously showed. It wasn't we were in the game for the first hour, it was more they weren't!

Oh well. Well done Jimmy for the spark, but take it steady!

i did not want to comment at the time, i felt the score was always likely and i dont blame derry for losing. it was not the result which should have seen derry walk imo. he deserved face up against a weaker side where we could have judge the situation better.
