Who would you like us to sign?

Ben Davies has been released by Sheffield United.I think he made 19 appearances for them and scored 5 goals last season. He'll be 34 later this month.Could he do a job again for Notts?

If we didn't have the oldest pairing in Smith and Jones I'd snap him up. Get id of both and get Ben in. More skill in 1 toe than Smith tbh. Oh to have a dead ball man like him again.

Let's just hope that Smith is a coach, and Jones is in talks/negotiations/whatever other spin the club puts on it....

So hopefully Davies in Jones Out :)

Having been at the legends match today I would love to see a winger with the first touch, movement and all around class like Andy Legg, watching him today reminded me of watching him during his spell at Meadow Lane, absolute class, even now he has lost none of that quality likewise Chris Withe, absolute class today against much younger & fitter players. Gary Jones rolled back the years today, hasn't got as much movement as our current Gary Jones but more ability in his little toe.

How come we can't sign players of the quality of the three above??

The best bit about today was watching proper quality in a Notts shirt, we've only had a couple of players of that quality in recent times sadly

Yes, I echo the comments about Andy Legg he is very much a traditional winger whos skill set him well within the game. Some of his touches yesterday show how classy he is and was as a player.

Would be great to have a winger like him back.

Supposedly we are linked with a Jason Bantor and a lad from Doncaster, I take the rumours with a pinch of salt but curious about opinions.

He's a mate of Guy Branston's isn't he?

Would be typical that we sign peoples mates again.

On the Guy Branston front see he's been upsetting people again

Is it Jason Banton? Played for Plymouth? He scored in the home playoff game vs Wycombe. Used mainly as a sub. Doesn't score too many goals. Worth a punt? Not sure. Might do well if he is a regular starter.

What is he doing? never heard of either player mentioned.

If Notts need a utility player who can fill many positions you could do a lot worse than Rob Milsom who we have released. Not quite up to the Championship but would be a good L2 signing, also young Richard Brindley, a RB that we released, but I don't know if that's a position that Notts struggle with.

Both wouldn't be bad signings, I concur with that. Richard Brindley would be a decent signing for us! We need a right back since Mustapha Dumbuya was released. I'd also take Ben Pringle if your offering? You are? Very nice, we'll take him too. Why not!

Lewis Buxton, Giles Coke, Gary Madine, Joe Mattock, Jacques Maghoma and Rhys McCabe.

Are all quality players on their day.

Rhys McCabe looked to have a bright future, I am surprised we released him and I do think he would do well with a club like Notts County. Jacques Maghoma will find a championship squad or upper half league one but your manager will have a lot of investigating and scouting to do.

Any worthy released players from your side of the Trent @jsrjay?

Supposedly we are interested in signing Rob Milsom, I would look at Richard Brindley too.

A local reporter released a tweet about us being interested, so we will see how that pans out or not as the case tends to be.

That tweet came from Leigh Curtis. After his Liverpool 'scoop' he has about as much credibility as my wife.

For the record, she still believes Alan Sheehan plays for us, and he is a striker.

@Super_Danny_Allsopp - My eldest daughter believes Alan Judge (or Gerogey) still does! However, it turns out she thinks he is Liam Noble.

Leigh Curtis may be right about this because I have seen things myself to suggest it's more than one reporting it.

My grandson George's favourite player was Callum McGregor, I haven't the heart to tell him he's gone, he still talks about him.

I'll have to break it to him gently.

I think sensible signings from here would be nice, I have been pleased so far but we need to make a few more.

We also need to move quicker within the transfer market, other clubs manage to bring in the right players but each season we bide our time and it does seem to be apart of what punishes us. If other clubs are after a certain player, should we be enquiring? You cannot be put off by the bigger clubs.

Its all gone very quiet with regards to rumours, I was hoping for more than two signing by now.
