The "Ladbrokes" Deal

Seems like this deal is quite Large. Givien the amount of Players coming in and on Certain deals.

2 Year Deals means we are looking at these players for Next season as well.

1 Year Deals means you should prove yourself for the fight next season as well, if not Cherrio.

We must be talking in the High 6 Figures.

All these players seem pretty good. I remember the pre-Munto days in the bottom tier and a lot of the players were low League 2 - Conference standard. This latest batch could do a job in League 1 or even lower Championship. I mean, the foreign players will be harder to call, but by the sounds of it they've got experience in the lower reaches of the Eredivisie or the one below, which is aboult Championship / League 1 level, so again it's promising.

It's obviously quite sizeable, I am wondering how it works out but I don't want to intrude @RayTrew by asking.

I'm wondering if the amount is paid both terms, i.e each year of the sponsorship or if the money has been paid in full from the start. I am sure it will be spent wisely, yet I just feel that the money would be best in lumps because you can get carried a way. I mean, I do at times and only natural but the investment needs safe guarding to a degree.

Don't forget players may have a release clause also included in their contracts.

Signing players based on 2 year deals, rather than 3's or 4 years pretty much gives us time to reflect on the situation. Hopefully as @AmericanPie mentioned, the club tie players down as early as possible and keep everything settled/stable.

Very exciting times.

Personally I think all the spending probably has more to do with @erindoors quietly sneaking a double shot of whisky and happy pills into Ray's morning coffee than any sponsorship deal ...

I think the club (and therefore Ray) will not disclose any information regarding figures or the intricacy of the deal due to Ladbrokes confidentiality agreement. Beyond 'a big deal', 'our biggest sponsorship', I think that's about all we will get.

RT mentioned on the other forum that despite the increase in sponsorship, it will be mostly bank-rolled by themselves. Whether that is in the form of loans, who knows. RT has also said that any person investing in a football club, beyond the elite clubs, and expecting to get any return, is deluded.... or words to that affect. That's a positive for me, we don't want a Mike Ashley kind of deal where we are a marketing tool.

The deal seems to be what is pushing the recruitment forward, I do not know how much but it seems promising based on the signings.

It's just good to see the money being used by a smart manager who clearly has a plan as to what he should do with it.

We are in safe hands with Moniz, I can tell.

Two year deals are hardly long but in this division they are good enough, we must extend any if we can afford them as early as possible. I would think a successful season would make clubs look more closely at our talent, this would be another way to bring investment into the club.

The sponsor is interesting, I wonder if we will ever find out how much the deal is worth.

I do not expect Ray to answer this at all.

Ladbrokes? Give me women making waves any day!  :hyper:

I wonder how the squad would be shaping without the deal? Will Notts get any revenue if the club do have a "Ladbrokes" at meadow lane? So many questions but at the end of the day it's positive.

the money seems to be going into the players, hopefully if it permits the catering will receive some and if the ladbrokes arrives at ml. hopefully they will pay their way further.

It's been said Ladbrokes will have a kiosk probably in the Pavis (guess). See them in other grounds and people use them.

As long as Meadow Lane never gets renamed I'm in for the ride.

I have a friend who works at Ladbrokes Head Office, and he hadn't heard anything about it from any internal memos or anything, which is kinda strange. Saying that, any increase in income also allows for an increase in the contribution that Ray can put into the club I believe, as part of FFP. I guess this backs up the fact that Ray mentioned most of the signings will be out of his own pocket.

Sadly Ladbrokes didn't give me the best odds for a Notts promotion, so I went with another company, but we'll see how it goes throughout the season.  If their logo looks good on our kit, I might have to open an account.

Interesting reading @Cobby, thanks for sharing that.

This deal being one of our biggest, if true THE biggest should surely be released at some stage in the near future? Its a shame that football has quickly moved into the undisclosed football of the day but this deal seems to be a great way for the club to move forward.
