Nottingham post banned from notts

Featured Replies

The Nottingham Post has been banned for not removing quotes regarding the internal matters at Meadow Lane. This now means that Leigh Curtis cannot attend match days!

Thoughts?

The Post is no major loss, it is sad that talks cannot be done without trying to reach an agreement.

Its out now, what does this achieve @RayTrew that the original story didn't? I am sorry to say this but you have made a mistake.

I'm shocked, I think the club need to handle this carefully and just move on. We cannot be having these things effect the playing squad or the fans morale, those are important.

Honestly, no comment. I said no comment.

So someonee who should be banned gets a job at the club and another tool gets banned? You have to wonder what's going on at the club. Absolute shambles!

I don't buy the post anymore but I do think this has been handled badly (as usual) the post reported on an interview with Moniz as did Radio Nottingham, they reported exactly what was said, that is their job. Why Ray Trew has now banned them I don't know, surely it needs to be addressed with the manager for speaking in the first place? All the NP did was report the facts, what next? Ban Colin Slater? It's ridiculous!

What a stupid decision, in all honesty are the club out of their mind?

The Post might come across as in it for their own gain, especially the twit who does that stupid "I know what's happening, tune in at noon" but to ban him is very extreme. Does the club need PR management? Absolute joke because the Post will not care but the fans who read it, well they sadly will.

Apparently its all sorted now they've had a group hug and are now friends. Ah bless.

Oh, I am fine with that... but why have one article on our website saying business as usual, without having the original article about being banned in the first place

I suppose if they left the original article people might believe that is still the case and not read the new one.

The Post wrote it to force people onto their side and rectify the decision, none of this should have happened but it speaks volumes. Let's hope we can focus on football, this is why we are in business after all.

Absolutely because the Post is a fans insight and its us who suffer, like I mentioned I doubt the Post would be overly bothered. They could do much of what they do without attending, so the ban would have had zero effect - bar punishing our own fans who purchase the paper.

Publicity stunt? Misunderstanding? Can't stick to their words?

Twitter message

Over reaction of the highest order but I think it says more about our chairman than the people behind the Post. Clearly it made him unhappy, I hope they sit down and talk.

Otherwise I feel it will be daggers for both.

Considering how quick Notts were to revoke the decision to ban The Nottingham Post, I must say I am suprised to see the article making print considering they deleted the article quite quickly themselves.

There's nothing like bad press to see a few papers.

Even if they had time to pull the piece from the print, I doubt they would have. Crafty swine's!

I agree with this, the story is idea for selling papers and I was more suprised not to see it make the back page. As it stands, less will read it because of that.

People scan the back pages and often put it down.

Front and back are the money spinners.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

There would be reason not to print the story, did they include updated information? If the Post didn't I think they would be pushing their luck.

I don't honestly see any reason to close this thread @liampie
