Game 41 - The Boro (H)

Team: Stevenage FC

Date: 09/04/16

What line-up should Mark Cooper opt for? What will be the key areas for the Magpies to get a victory? What do you think the final score will be?

I'd go for the same line-up providing everyone is fit, we played really well against Northampton and could have won, if its not broken, don't fix it!

Cooper is building confidence which we can see from the recent performances.

There is no need to make many changes if at all, keep it simple and attack. We should comfortably win Stevenage if we play well.

its a good opportunity to claim three points which seems like ages ago we did.

only comment i want to add at this stage is we need to give mcleod time, the performances are improving and he keeps getting chances. only time before he scores, hes not perfect but the ideal striker to have when in form. a good notts means a better mcleod.

I feel more confident about leaving meadow lane under super cooper, play well and get what is deserved.

            Loach
Hewitt Edwards Hollis Audel
            Aborah
Murray   Noble    Banton
             Stead
        McLeod

This would be my lineup and formation.

We need a win really, seems like an age since we've had one, and the ones that came under Fullarton were combined with dire football.

All Cooper is missing is a win.

If on Saturday he and the players can achieve a victory, it will go along way to ending the season the best that it can. No thrills or drama, just play to score and defend well to win. We do not want miracles, just dedication and fight from here on. 2-0 Notts for me.

Stead and Murray with the goals.

Can't see anything other than a home win. Stevenage are average. Notts looking better and better.

What's a home win?

Isn't it something like 5-0? (in-house joke) :lol::thumbsup:

I'm not there, so we are guaranteed a win this weekend!

I think he will go back to playing 2 up front for home games, so I fully expect McLeod to play and I think he will also score. With this in mind I will go for a 3-1 win to Notts, but will also take a 1-0!

@Fozzy I see your taking the 'Fozzingham' comparison on board. PON expects fit and ready player upon your return, there's no escaping your home work! 200 words on the outcome of said missed game due in before by the following Monday.

--

I think the majority will be vastly up for this game, as it's a great opportunity for Mark Cooper. We only need a few points to confirm safety, I'm not worried about that - I just want to achieve it ASAP however. The players will enjoy the games better having it out of their minds and I'm sure it will be said x, y or z isn't even thinking of it but as a player you will most likely acknowledge any negative outcome when your not quite out of that woods (only results change that).

i think stick with the same team against Northampton. And am hoping for a much awaited victory at Meadow Lane. COYP!

200 words @notts-joe?!? I can sum it up in 7 "We scored more than them and won!" Will that do?

Anyway whilst you are watching the game I will invite my new mate Mark over and discuss exactly why we never went up as champions.

No score prediction but I expect a comfortable win for Notts.

We just need to calm it down, then take our time with the finishing. Just had a goal disallowed whilst writing this! Good goal, just a shame it was offside COYP

Played really well today, everyone worked hard, Audel and Stanley stood out for me, valencic wasn't bad, we played so much better in the second half but Stevenage were so dirty, every challenge they stayed down and the ref allowed them to target Stanley

Any lingering relegation fears are gone. Vital 3 points. Can focus our attention on the takeover now.
