Ray said he didn't want to put anymore money into the "black hole" that is notts county, so that's probably why we have bills that aren't being paid, he said if the club wasn't sold by the end of the month he would pay the debt but he obviously hopes he doesn't have to, its not the best thing when selling a club but they will have spoken about it and that's apparently what put Hardy off, he wanted Ray to pay the debt that is owned

I don't think its a problem for us as I believe they will all be paid one way or another, but in terms of business it doesn't look good for your company to have debt

The debt increases with every passing day. Is it built into the asking price or is it extra a new owner would have to pay along with the asking fee? That's the 64 million dollar question I guess. I agree, it doesn't look good.

Supposedly the 84k has been paid if you listen to the rumour mill.

I can't say it comes across well to the majority of fans whom mention it to me, so I'm unsure what potential buyers would think. The takeover only seems to gain momentum the more fans talk or ask for updates, I think we may be a few more weeks off before any proper news emerges. This is just my opinion however.

We were told we would have news this week but it's been over a week since that was said so your guess is as good as mine

We need better news and for the red rag to stop spinning stories to gain views and paper purchases.

Ray said days, rather than weeks, so how long is that? For me it would be within 13 days, which is just shy of when a week turns into weeks!

The sooner this is over and done with the better.. At least things on the pitch are looking good again..

if you run the debt, you should pay it.

did he not speak out about the debts he obtained under the takeover from munto? i think its silly when it gets to stages like this.

Ray has been getting pretty angry with some "fans" again over there.....one or two seem to enjoy "baiting" both him and PP.

I understand he has the right to reply....but I cannot see how anything good can come from these "flame wars".

There will be people who enjoy getting a reaction out of people, you should never give it. Sometimes Ray and Aileen appear to go out of their way to rub peoples necks, with only a few times ever being warranting a response. MAD for example is the prime example of people wanting to get kicks out of negativity, so why give it?

The takeover must happen and the fees will need to be paid.

@tarquinbeech Ray Trew is losing it in my opinion. He must have an army of lawyers on retainer if they can deal with him suing everyone and oversee the sale of the club! But he also needs to realise he also is a keyboard warrior, if he doesn't action his threats of legal action, then he is pretty much a keyboard warrior (also the fact that he has on occasion called a whole bunch of people morons without saying it face to face!)

The sooner he and his family ship out, the better for everyone really.

I actually find the whole thing quite sad............when they originally stepped in to save the club, they were worshiped.......now it seems that a day doesn't pass without someone hurling derogatory remarks at them.....I just wish it would stop, one way or another.......plus, IMO I think they should stay off social media sites until the dust settles.

Just think bills should be paid , all the technicalities of the sale are different issues , when the club is sold then the responsibilities end , so paying what's due is the correct thing to do , we can smile more now with matters football will be glad when we can with off the field things also .

Bang on.

Well bills can't be avoided, especially with a slow takeover (and yes I expect it to be this way).

Lets hope it's been settled now, so the sale of the club can just move forward.

I have to question whether the people hurling abuse at the current owners on social media really have the best interests of Notts at heart?! Certainly on the other site it seems to be a personal feud going on!! It doesn't matter who owns the club because whatever they do it won't be acceptable to the keyboard warriors. I just want to get back to it all being about the football and looking forward to matches again!!

I disagree because fans can settle if allowed.

Some keyboard warriors will get bored in the long run but you have to stop feeding them. Its clear MAD thrive on the attention each melt down brings, I would have a stab that some of the topics they start are done with the intention of getting the Trews to comment. The point about bills, its silly not paying and expecting someone else to settle such a small bill.

Just pay it and have done with it.

I'm pretty certain they don't.  A small group on MAD post specifically to discredit Ray and Aileen Trew, and for no other reason.  I'm sure they never consider for a second the negative impact it might have on the club, they have their personal agenda and that's all that matters.  Saying that, Ray is almost as bad because he is stupidly giving them the attention they crave.  Just stay away from all forms of social media Ray and concentrate your efforts on getting the best deal for both yourself and the club.  Most of us would like to remember you in a good way, please don't make that difficult for us.

@Elite_pie and @CliftonMagpie.......spot on......so why the hell do Mr and Mrs Trew keep feeding the trolls..............grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Sukhi ghuman (Octavian security from 2009) has said on Twitter that he is no longer in the race to take over notts as we need large scale investment and small or medium investment would not suffice, he also mentions that he would be able to get more investors but the investment would have to be huge

His twitter is @sukhighuman360 ,it certainly makes for good reading

Not good news. I'd hoped Octavian would be the new buyers

So who's left in the running then ? About as clear as mud , maybe the other of the 2 serious bidders now have a clear run , which did the above mentioned belong to ?

We still know next to nothing. Only the self-proclaimed Phoenix has any insight, but his information is notoriously unreliable.

The more I think about it, the more I worry about Sukhi Ghuman's comment. I have a horrible feeling there's a lot more wrong with NCFC behind the scences than we think. It sounds like he may have done 'due diligence' and come to that conclusion.

Sorry to be pessimistic but we could be in deep poo.
