Sam Hughes and Scott Cuthbert

Leicester youngster Sam Hughes linked. Signed from Chester before 17-18 season. Would be a quality signing at this level. Solid centre back at a young age but Foxes want to send him to a League One club.

Cuthbert released by Luton at the end of the season. Would be another solid signing.

It seems that we are being linked heavily with defenders, not that it's a problem but very interesting nonetheless.

Scott Cuthbert is pretty decent, he's got height on his side and he's that no nonsense type player that would do well. I wasn't aware Luton Town had released him, yet I hope the interest is genuine as I believe he's quite versatile.

I know nothing of Sam Hughes but he looks like a defender from the pictures I've seen.

Two interesting prospects on the transfer front.

A field where dreams become reality.

Tightening the back up should be a priority for Kevin Nolan, a solid defence would be the right way to build a team. It might also encourage strikers to come to the club as Alan Hardy has been quoted to be looking to spend well in that department.

These two could be good additions. Scott Cuthbert especially, so I will see how it pans out.

Hardy says he is willing to spend on transfer fees to get strikers, seems a strange thing to say as immediately it notifies clubs looking to sell that he has money to spend and the price is inflated.

Would expect Brighton to want Hall to go to a league 1 side and I would fully expect Cuthbert to go to a lower half league 1 side. I'd definitely take both, or either! Hughes is too much of a gamble, but I wouldn't pay the money for Dennis that mad dog wants, 50k would be plenty for a 28 year old with only a couple of years FL experience.

Likewise I am unsure about sam Hughes, I would prefer Ben Hall on a free but since both would be loans I just don't know.

Scott Cuthbert would be an excellent signing for this league, if Luton didn't want him I think there will be a reason for that. I would say take the gamble and try to snap him up, offer a year deal with a rolling contract.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!
