no real surprises, i am pleased to see some youth players listed but i am still hopeful that we can sign a couple more just to add strength. i think we need experienced cover at the back to cover tootle but i assume kellett will be a defender in some capacity.

I can only see a further two more signings coming in and I also believe Pindroch will be the backup keeper.

Does anyone know if Campbell, Dunn, Howes and Osborne are any good?

I wished teams would make the squad numbers more meaningful, the traditional way gave some form of insight but these days it means nothing.

However, it does annoy me to see someone intended to feature often but is given a stupid number that makes no sense - whilst someone who doesn't fit into the plans gets a lower number and never features. It's bizarre but it's the way football is these days.

I thought Kane Hemmings would have had a lower number, he's probably requested the number 15.

I would welcome the return of starting 11's being given those numbers, but players request what they would like and managers these days don't formulate to the old way.

Squad numbers mean little in football now.

Number 7, 10 and 3 all used to mean something.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
