Match Discussion: Game 1 - The U's (H)

Featured Replies

It sounds like Notts didn't turn up but just remember guys its virtually a new squad.

The new players changes the dynamics from last season and a draw is better than a loss. I would take the draw and hope it encourages the players to work on creating better chances.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

there were some plus points Enzio looks very good

not very much.

he seems a downgrade over snijders. hes good with running with the ball but soon runs out of ideas and loses the ball very easily. i think the performance was okay, just that nobody lifted or could change the game.

Partly an empty performance by Notts.

Colchester could have been leading 2-0 before the half time, I think the slow start made Notts struggle. I don't understand why we lumped the ball to stead as the only idea to go pass their midfield. Poor performance but a good draw.

What I don't get is why people expected us to just turn up and hammer teams?

We have mainly new players in all of the attacking positions which will take time to understand each other, ffs just chill and enjoy the ride ahead.

I'm sure people just wanted to see a steady performance, not a side struggling to pass the ball forward. I have read all the comments in this thread and I find nothing that could offend anyone.

It's just fans sharing their opinion, relax a little.

Sounds like a fan that switches and changes his mind based on the majority.

I think the game was very poor, I mean did Notts have a chance on target? I accept its the first game but the truth is they need to be better.

I’m sure the cambridge game will be a big improvement

It’s very early days yet, I will wait a little before being to critical it’s a long season.

It needs to be, I am unsure if we can class them as being an easier side.

Notts need to work harder as others have said.

It's useful to know peoples opinions and how they see the game does allow for constructive criticism.

PON is a very useful place to read the feedback provided by fans, so I think we have to accept sometimes we may not agree. As for the performance it sounded bad, Charlie Slater mentioned several times about how slow and unlikely Notts seemed to score or make any good chances. I do feel people have to keep in mind Rome wasn't built in a day and Kevin Nolan's squad will need time.

Yet other people need to accept that fans will see things how they do and should express it accordingly.
