Which of the players do you feel can feature in the re-grouping of Harry Kewell's squad?

Players such as Hewitt, Jones, Duffy, Thomas have all been players who have started the season out of form. Most have not worked hard enough and I think a lot of the time it's the simplest things that they fail to do.

Examples..

Jones struggles to defend when he commits to going too far forward.
Hewitt fails to make those easy passes to a nearby player
Duffy switches off and leaves things to others to deal with
Thomas looks okay ran running at players but useless otherwise

Notts should expected better and more from some of the squad, its those players who let the team down.

John stead based on what I’ve seen of him in the home games in the league I’ve been to and the pre season. I think he will help and feature in the squad for most games.

If Notts sign another keeper, I would stick with Brisley, Vaughan, Husin, Boldewijn, Hemmings and Stead for now.

Leave the remaining spaces open for competition, with Duffy being injured it gives Notts a chance to find a true leader and a consistent centre back partnership. I have no idea where Andy Kellett would be best placed but he's got to start more.

The line-up today shows a good idea on what hasn't been working for Notts, it sounds like he saw enough and has decided to make a few changes. It's bizarre how Oxlade-Chamberlin has suddenly appeared from out of nowhere with no news of his recovery.

A win today, although being in a meaningless cup - it would be a positive thing.

Harry Kewell needs to pick some players up and others he needs to make them work harder to retain any chance of starting. Those players that have failed to perform so far shouldn't be anywhere near the start 11. Kevin Nolan tried to get them to overcome this but the issue needs dealing with head on.

Sort the weak from the strong.

Play the players who can perform and will battle.

Things will only improve when the balance is right. Jon Stead right now should be starting ahead of Kristian Dennis. Elliott Hewitt needs to be dropped.

For me to many have gone missing so far for whatever reason, a clean slate is now on offer so anything can happen , but the key has to be a willingness to work hard show grit , determination, kind of agree with Kewell when he said being out of form doesn’t stop you running or working hard it’s that hard endeavour that can lead to a return to form , fitness could need improving to help all this .

notts needs to start leading by example, if they dont do well dont play them and hope someone else steps up to the plate.

It seems to be this way doesn't it.

I hope Kewell has the determination and respect to drive the club forward, he seems focused and I am impressed by his comments so far. The first win he gets will say more about the direction of the club I feel.

It's going to take weeks to improve, things are very bad based on the way the squad isn't pulling together. I fear Non League football next season.

Notts have to desperately regroup and be more practical when training.

So far no improvement from the appointment of Steve Chettle. It makes you question should Notts have gotten Mike Edwards back?
