Who are we missing the most from last season?

With the squad Kevin Nolan assembled with a few additions from Kewell, who from last season's squad do you think has left the biggest hole and would be the difference maker in the squad we have now?

For me it has to be Ryan Yates, he was everything that our midfield isn't and would certainly thrive in the squad we have now.

Honourable mention would go to Shola Ameobi as I feel he'd do a job with a Hemmings or Dennis alongside him up front.

I also feel the lack of experienced heads and strong characters in the dressing room (Smith, Ameobi, Dickinson, Hunt) haven't been replaced like for like which has left a void and when heads go down they stay down without these guys who had been there and seen it all.

I don't think Jorge Grant is a big miss, yeah he is a good player but he's a luxury player, you'd have him if he was offered to you but with or without him I think we'd be in the same position.

Adam Collin, no we don't miss him, his face just didn't fit and in times like this he would've been as useful as he was in the 10 game losing streak we had.

Michael O'Connor, I feel had we actually made a real effort to keep him his leadership qualities and thunderous, hard tackle approach is something we completely miss.

Jonathan Forte, do we miss him? I'm 50/50 on this one.

So, who do you think we miss the most? And who would be the player(s) that you feel would be a perfect fit to this team to get us more points?

There’s more than one for me .. Jorge Grant Is the one that stands out for me ..

Jorge Grant.

I'm sure most that called him would take him back, he can literally anywhere on the pitch. He could change games and right now we miss someone confident about striking a ball towards go from outside the box.

Surprised at the lack of people saying Yates, losing him in January ruined our season.

@Chris @Magic magpie as for Jorgey Grant, he was a luxury player first half of the season he was excellent, second half he was pretty much invisible, so for me if I was offered him I'd take him but personally I don't feel he's the biggest miss from last season!

Fair point mate .. Yates until the recall did do very well that’s a good point mate.

I did say there was a few I thought we missed but Grant was one of my favourites from last year due to how he played the goals etc

I think Ryan Yates only worked well because of who he was beside when he played, most games I saw him he seemed a bit of a shadow and someone over hyped by certain fans.

At this level you need a player who can change games, so I would say Jorge Grant too.

O'Connor or Yates.... we haven't replaced that battling midfielder that every team needs.

notts have given anyone the task of defending the ball but we do miss a goal scorer badly.

grant lifted the squad with his confidence.

Definitely Yates, I wish Fword would loan him back to us but I think Mr. Hardy has burnt our bridges and the relationship has soured.

Grant for his free kicks and being in the right place at the right time or "Johnny on the Spot" as uncle Colin used to say.

O'Connor for his leadership skills.

Fort is poking goals in for Exeter so I reckon he'd have been good to have as well.

Jorge Grant, Jonathan Forte, Ryan Yates, Michael O'Connor are all missed.

Grant... was a shame when he went, but it was expected.

Shola's height and brute force is missed.

I think he could have rotated quite well with the new additions in Hemmings and Dennis but I think his wages is the issue.

Easy one....

He was overrated when he was in the zone and all fired up, yet when he lost it people never gave him the credit he deserved. Jorge Grant for me, fantastic player at this level and his goals lifted Notts.

Well at this minute In this time .. the lot of them we need back
