If you had to explain what it was like to be a Notts fan this season and sum up the 2018-19 campaign to an outsider, in a paragraph or more what would you say?

i think the early signs of promise, the way notts built the team makes this season harder to accept. we can all have our say on what went wrong, fans can point the finger at kevin nolan for not signing any defenders and some faults could comeback to harry kewell. alan hardy tried to do what was best for the club, he invested money and the club made what seemed to be good signings. maybe it was all a little too fast, standards might have been dropped somewhere a long the way. the hardest thing right now is worrying if the club can survive the drop, not many other fans will care about notts being the oldest professional league team. to us it means a lot, its the not knowing though. this season has been awful and being relegated from other divisions does not compare especially with the worry of admin.

the community i have been around has made me love this club, i hope things wont change next season.

It's been awful, the amount of games we lost so early destroyed any confidence that the club could gain promotion. People kept saying they needed to click and things would change after the first win but it didn't. The clubs been massively mismanaged this season, I think after flying for the most part of last season those in power took for granted the hard work that is required. I still believe that the loss of key people in the dressing room hasn't helped and that comes back to the mismanagement, If you have felt the lows of being so poor within a league, combine this with the fact the club could easily be out of the Football League.

It's massive, very saddening state for Notts County.

I thought early on it would be something that could be turned around, I think Notts signed too many players who had a negative way of thinking. Quite a few of them struggled last season and it makes you wonder how the club can win when the mindset of players is like this. The squad size is way too big for this division, so that was a bearing factor but the season is one of the worst for a long time. There was a stage whereby I went to games knowing Notts would lose, a point was seen as a bonus and that says how depressing the campaign has been for Notts fans.

It would be easier to use one or two words, it's been terrible. Only proper Notts fans will feel the pain TBF, those who have made the majority of games both home and away deserve a medal of some kind. It's been awful, fewer games won. Major lack of football and the appointment of Harry Kewell will always be consider a shambles. Why Alan Hardy appointed him is beyond me, if we had got in a proper manager then this mess would have been averted IMO. I just hope the takeover happens sooner because I worry that Hardy has lost it completely. The 2018/19 season is one to be forgotten, if Notts stay up it should never be mentioned or celebrated.

The mood has gone  from optimism to bemusement, to disbelief to complete frustration and disappointment. Now all we can do is hope.

Nobody can say that Notts County is a boring football club, we can be in a chance of winning the league with a very average side that works hard - to a team on paper which should be up there, yet relegation is the destination. This season has been poor, it's like a bad panto and Alan Hardy hasn't done the clubs PR any good. Things from the board down should have been better, the club should have had a stronger bond and a bigger passion to turn the season around.

It was an awful transition and the appointment of Harry Kewell took the focus away from the actual football. He could have saved the season if he didn't lose his head, that's a sign of a terrible manager when they start to play people out of position and end up on a losing-streak running three back-to-back wins. It's been awful, the thought of relegation isn't good, but I still have faith (which has been tested). I love Notts, we all do.

A promising summer with the players bought in but we quickly realised that the players we bought in didn't really suit us and the team from August till around December was like a bridge stuck together with celotape. Things went downhill pretty quickly. We never replaced Michael O'Connor properly and paid the price for trying to go for style instead of substance. Kevin Nolan was sacked five games in after 4 losses, 1 draw and 13 goals conceded. Harry Kewell's appointment wasn't really that popular but I was willing to give him a chance. Things soured quickly however and he was sacked too and things looked bleak. We went through a mid-season run of 1 win in 18. 

Good signings in January rejuvenated us and after picking up 7 points from the first 3 in February, including winning a Nottinghamshire Derby for the first time in 358 months, things looked positive. Sadly, a bad run of form and rumours of financial difficulties followed and we looked doomed. Thankfully, two away wins in a row have lifted the optimism though and now the last 5 games are five of the biggest in the clubs history. 

Lesson: Always keep the spine of a team that gets you in the play-offs and make sure that the signings you want to make fit the structure of your team and fit the system you want to play
