Matt Tootle send out a very heartfelt and  genuine tweet apologising for the relegation and his injury plagued season and hinted on being with the magpies next season.

I for one would love to see Matt design one of the only genuine few players that cares about the team and the fans and does feel what he says.

For then Charlotte Hardy to jump on the tweet causing more controversy. It seems to run in the family that they just can't stay away from social media. It says a lot when we were relegated 'Alan Hardy' was trending on twitter but 'Notts County' wasn't. Get the poison out of the club before he has a say on anything else.

This is owners for you, it would be rare to find one that thinks of the fans first and foremost (without playing childish games).

Matt is contracted until next summer.

He's got loyalties here and like the players, his career will only strengthen by sticking with the club. Those that fun, can't work hard enough and ultimately played their role in our relegation will struggle for me.

Matt is what you want in a player at this level.

A field where dreams become reality.

He is a player that could help us next season if hes fit to. Everyones always going to jump on the players for anything they say. Some clearly tried and some didnt.

Like I said I believe him to be the only  genuine tweet from the players I’ve read the rest seem pr friendly and all that crap. I think Matt will stay and help us out the none league situation I get a sense of loyalty from Matt I don’t from others

I hope people give Matt Tootle a chance to get fit, he's been overplayed and pushed when not ready. Some of the squad wouldn't play injured, they would not put half his effort in. That says it all for me.

What did she tweet?

Just about how it isn't all her Dads fault. Which I agree to an extent but it was almost like she was passing the blame on. He is the man at the top and makes crucial decisions which got us in this mess. No sympathy from me I am afraid.

What is with owners kids putting themselves in the firing line by mindlessly defending their parents?

Matt Tootle is a good egg, he's Notts through and through. One of the few players signed to the club that actually cared.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

Good guy Matt Tootle, I have nothing but admiration for him.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
