There's not been much said from my end, things have just quietly been done and, to a degree, I haven't forced the same level of commitments I have shown in the past seasons. I care immensely about this community, the Pride of Nottingham and of course Notts County.
I have mentioned that things have been difficult, both mentally and physically. Which I do not want to go into further because there's really no need, aside from saying the past few years has been challenging for us all. This said, if I don't discuss things about PON itself - then moving forward won't be as easy. Simply because the standard I set myself hasn't been consistent.
There's not much I plan to do before the New Year.
But, I will be focusing on slowly putting out content and of course finding that balance required to maintain such a community.
I am extremely grateful to see that members are continuing to post, this wouldn't be the first community to fall silent due to a lack of direction. But, it's not been the case. My approach for 2023 will be to keep it simple, as there are aspects of the Notts community that I miss, and I want to find time to reimmerse myself back into it.
I want to have things that keep me busy, focused and excited. It's a shame that we're having a great season at a point where I haven't had my A game but, I do stress PON isn't about me - it's about Notts fans and us as a community.
Publically, I feel I need to discuss things and hopefully this will act as some means towards that.
Keep safe everyone,
Chris

Hi again! The top two divisions may have paused because of some tournament that's being held to polish a dictatorship's image, but the Proper Leagues (and the National League too) are carrying on. So it's business as usual for us. Kick-off is 3pm, and remember those jokers!

Well we can't be too critical after a really good season so far( FA cup apart which was abysmal), so accept the point and move on. Cant help thinking that we are slowly getting a complex about where we are and struggling to cope with lofty ambitions.
Cooper started our dismal day.... Making the teams change ends before kick off... I bet he remembered from his time here a few seasons ago... Its worked several times over the years....
That was a frustrating listen, and in hindsight the "twist" was so predictable it could've been on Eastenders. A record crowd after having scored for 39 consecutive home games? It's sod's law.
It's annoying but we just have to pick up the winning habit again as soon as we can.
With no NL transfer window, should Notts be looking at any potential signings from Southend?

We have been incredibly clinical at times this season so three goals isn't absurd, but given Southend's very good form I think if we do win it won't be by that sort of margin.
Neither side had an FA Cup game so both teams will be fresh and I agree, two in form teams, should be a great game. I can't image we'll make too many changes maybe just Brinds in for Baldwin, so Rawlinson back in the middle of the back three. And Langstaff is surely due a goal now too, it's been 2 games without!
I think if had to bet on it I'd go for a draw too. And I'd take it, assuming we can finally get a win at Eastleigh as that would be 4 points from our double header of away games this week.
Two ponts thrown away, I still think we should have had enough to win but fair play to Southend.
Good game, thought Southend did well to disrupt our build up on the whole. Slocombe had way too many touches for my liking, we needed to be a bit braver progressing the ball instead of playing safe. When we broke the lines we looked dangerous, we just didn’t do it enough.
I think the Southend first goal is lucky, 9 times out of 10 if you push a player in the back two handed you get a free kick… But there you go.
Draw was a fair result in the end, and I think Southend will be in the play-offs come the end of the season and are likely to take points off our rivals too.
This is a rerun of round 8, which was originally planned for September but was cancelled for monarchy-related reasons. Apart from that everything is the same - predict the following fixtures by 7.45pm on Tuesday, remember your jokers and please try to let me win this time. Good luck!
Birmingham City v Swansea City
Blackpool v Middlesbrough
Cardiff City v Hull City
AFC Wimbedon v Leyton Orient
Mansfield Town v Bradford City
Aldershot v Dagenham & Redbridge
Boreham Wood v York City
Yeovil Town v Maidenhead United

3 points. +3 to the goal difference. Wrexham drew. All in all, a good day's work.
Top of the league, and one more win till we're safe from relegation
but seriously, we could quite easily have ended up like Scunny after going down. They've got it all on to stay up.
Usually, when Notts goes one down - that 'here we go' feeling starts to sink in. I don't think I have had it so far this campaign, I felt Notts would get back into the game if they created chances. It seems we certainly took them!
The 4-1 result was probably flattering for us, but the goals were all very well taken.
Jim O'Brien getting on the scoresheet is nice to see, hopefully, he can continue to prove the doubters wrong that he's past it. Just like the here we go feeling, I never doubted Jim.
