New shirt

Surely it's time for the new kit to be unveiled? Several other teams who are with Puma have already unveiled theirs, but we tend to take longer about it...

I would like a simple design with black and white stripes on the front and back, black shorts and white socks. Prefer slightly more white than black on the shirt. No yellow or grey please. I'm aware this is a forlorn hope.

Just so we don't get our hopes up, here's tlwhat Puma have foisted on teams competing in the club world cup this summer:

Notts announces it late because they don’t buy enough to meet the demand from our fans. They know it will sell out early, and people will want more.

This makes it easier for them to bring more in around Christmas or later. Expect the announcement near the final friendly.

Something traditional with broad stripes would suit me. I’d rather avoid pinstripes or thin black lines, as they don’t look like Notts. I quite liked the barcode shirt from a few years ago. I wonder what this season’s design will be like and if we’ll return to a previous away shirt colour.

I wouldn't call myself super picky, but I really hope the away shirt isn't any shade of pink. I'd much prefer something like yellow, blue, or maybe even green again. As for the home shirt, black and white stripes are totally our vibe. Sure, the club could get a bit creative, but I can't help but wonder if they'll go for something custom-made or just pick a simple off-the-shelf design. Honestly, I’m okay with either. I'm usually fine with the overall design. It'd be cool if the club dropped some hints about the home shirt, you know? It'd be fun to guess how it might turn out!

I’m sure a few season ago Juventus has a kind of jagged striped shirt, I quite like that and we've not ever had anything like that. Might upset the traditionalists though!

What I’m really hoping for is that big red John Pye sponsor in the middle, that definitely doesn’t clash, again. That way we can continue to stick two fingers up at those colour theorists who think they know better!

Will it look like this, just with the Notts badge and John Pye on the front?

I'd be down for this (although the back is all one colour). More black than brown though 😉

I'd also be happy with wavy or jagged stripes if they're done well. I'm not holding my breath though.

Well, I hope people won't read too much into the retro shirt that's been released and therefore believe the club will reveal a shirt for this upcoming season based on that, as it makes zero sense. It will most likely be an off-peg design, but I am sure it will be good. I haven't been a large fan of the home shirts. Last season was the first in a while that I liked. Yet, nothing has been bad, just not my personal preference.

I would love for yellow fabric to be featured within the design; it always makes the black and white stripes pop.

Away shirt-wise, anything Nottingham-coloured. I wouldn't mind a simple yellow kid, or yellow and green. Yet these might not be everyone else's cup of tea.

I'm after a strong, traditional home shirt for Notts. Thick stripes, but not too chunky. It always amazes me how Newcastle usually gets it right with their home shirts. If we go for something like the 2002 design or even the 1998 one, I'd be more than happy with it.

This is Grimsby's new shirt for next season. The trim, the sponsor, the umbro logo all matching and tying to the red in the badge is superb. (Even if the sponsor is a tad large).

I can't tell if the Rotherham shirt is a image that has been watermarked or if the shirt actually has some text and checkerboard within the black. If it's actually the design I don't think it really works on the stripes, looks a tad messy to me.

Position the Notts badge at the top center, with the Puma logo directly beneath it. Leave the left and right empty. Change the blue to yellow and the red to black. That would be a very nice-looking Notts home shirt.
