Coventry do seem to be a club with real problems, it is a shame to see them down there, they were always a club that tried to play the right way...

Β

Stephen Pressley doesn't seem to have the backing of that team of players IMO.... Dead Man Walking

Still grinning from ear to ear, what a result! Genuinely didn't expect anything today, would have been overjoyed with a point given the number of players we were missing.

Β

Roy Carroll though, what a hero! That's true dedication for you, that must have given everyone a boost.

Fantastic win, big 3 points. We're 4th! Now 24th, 4th! Amazing.

YOOOOOUUUUUU PIIIIEEEEESSSSS

Pleased to see the lads pull off a good victory, yet what is going at Coventry?

Their manager seemed to get very angry during his post match interview, what was that added pressure like for a struggling side? I cannot see Derry doing anything like that. Now it sounded like one of them games where we missed a bit of quality upfront but we got the result. Very proud right now, as we all should be.

Well done notts. You pies!Β

I think SD should keep hold of the money he has, and yes if we are thereabouts ask for some more, and REALLY make it count... I know we will pay over the odds, but if we are within hitting distance of automatic, it is a no brainer...

Given what RT has said about the financial models involved, it makes absolute sense, to go for it. But not at any price...

We have to spend wisely, whatever expenditure we have it must be used wisely.

The goal should be to focus on securing the highest finish possible, whilst not strengthening what budget we have. There is no need to splash the cash, which I am sure Ray is making available after reducing the budget to secure our future.

Brilliant result, hard working from the go and the defence did a job to protect Roy after he got injured.

We grabbed the win from taking a chance.

A little more than that for me @tonyhateley.

We created chances and almost took a couple, the goal came from brilliant break down play. It would be nice to see us attack like that more often, as they could not cope with it. Well done notts for grabbing for the win!

Colin and Dean said Coventry should have had a penalty when Hollis made a clumsy tackle, anyone who went agree with that?

For those who haven't, see the highlights.

A couple of opinions forming there, which I will add for me it was a penalty but I agree it would have been harsh. A fouls a foul at the end of the day!

It's back folks! PoN's "On The Table". Click the picture to read the feature.

See how the weekend's features helped us and changed the league, see who's moved up, fallen down and how each respective side did.

Quoted from The Guardians Football blog.

"Coventry City manager Steven Pressley had described The Ricoh ArenaÒ€ℒs surface this week as Ò€œprobably the worst pitch in the entire Football LeagueÒ€. Notts County made the visit and it is fair to say the pitch got in the way of any great football breaking out. Either way, it was an accomplishment of sorts for Roy Carroll who had been man of the match in Romania for Northern Ireland 15 hours before, and caught an early morning flight to play. Eventually the deadlock was broken by Garry Thompson, his sixth in six, and Carroll maintained a clean sheet as County claimed a 1-0 triumph"

Β

Question to those that went, was the pitch that bad?

That's a fair enough report. It was probably intended for those who only have a passing acquaintance with the clubs and League One, but the summary of the two clubs' situations is fine. Personally I quite like reading what outsiders think about our club.
