A tale of two strikers

Well both our star signings Hemmings and Dennis has now missed sitters in the opening two matches.

Let's hope things get better, at least the chances are being created I suppose, that's a good sign, isn't it?

strikers will miss chances, i think thats natural but the creation of opportunities needs to continue to improve. i would be worried if they did not miss or have a chance to score, they are league two strikers so they wont score everything that comes their way.

When the team clicks, things will get better. I have been happy with Dennis and Hemmings more so than Stead.

If the chances keep coming both of them will be able to lift the squad, we just need the defence to wake up and stop relying on the attack to do what they should be doing which is controlling the game.

If they miss chances its a sign that they're trying, likewise if a player is being caught offside.

These are things which will naturally improved and can be worked on further in training but as I say, it's a positive sign. Jon Stead has missed some real sitters and he doesn't seem to be effected. They will score soon, I am certain and it should help the squad.

Being in the positions to take / miss them is just as important as setting them up

It's far too early to be worried about our strikers. If they haven't scored come October I'd be concerned. We're creating chances, the pieces will fall into place.

By October the alarm bells would have been ringing nonstop and I don't think anyone is overly worried here.

At least they are getting close, if they keep at it soon they will be hitting the target. Just think when you go to a fun fair and have a go at throwing a sand band at the bottles, the more you try the closer you get.

They seem to be the right type of players the club need, it's only a matter of time I feel for them to bag plenty of goals.
